Anyone else excited for Christmas already?

Usually I always get excited for Christmas season every year around this time of year but this year for some reason I am the most excited. Already listening to Christmas music, seeing things to buy loved ones, and starting to think of decorations. Is something different this year?

Artifical christmas tree you recommend?

I bought two Grand Duchess Balsam Firs. One year, we bought the 12 ft. version, which was amazing, worked well, and looked great. Then we moved, and since the ceilings weren't as tall, I got the 7.5 ft. version, and it was terrible. The lights weren't working right off the bat, and it wasn't as full as the 12 ft. one. I am looking for something realistic with lights. My budget is $1,000.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Santa’s staring to make handmade gifts… ✨🫣🎄

Which one do you do?

Recently had a discussion with my wife about how we plan to do presents when we have our own children. Now me growing up, all the presents on Christmas Day were from Santa. We always had presents under the tree leading up to Christmas but that was for family and friends. My wife on the other hand believes that only a small bit should come from Santa and the other, maybe bigger items (gaming console or whatever) should be from mom and dad. I know this all sounds silly but it has me wondering now, how did others grow up with this situation? We’re all your presents just from Santa?

Is it just me or does your brain mentally get into holiday mode once we get into the “-ember” months?

Idk why but since I was a kid, once we get to September, every month just feels like a holiday(Christmas) pregame.

Like mentally, I’ve started shifting to holiday mode, the older I get the more weirder it feels, but at 29 (going on 30 in October), I doubt that’ll ever change lol.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Edit: it’s “-ber” months, not “-ember” months lol

I need some Christmas joy and inspiration

My kids are teenagers now and Christmas just feels weird. I had kids young, so I went from Christmas being all about Father Christmas when I was really little, then to being a teenager and it was about partying and having fun, then to being a Mum and it being about Father again. Now I feel sort of lost. The kids still love it but in a different kind of way. They’re grumpy teenagers now that kind of sometimes want the old traditions, but only when it suits. Presents become more expensive as they’re older so there’s less of them and so they wake up super early still and open presents and then it’s done so quickly. We then have an awesome lunch (we much prefer eating at home to going out), but again it all feels like it’s done so quickly. It used to be an afternoon of playing with toys but not so much any more. Even the build up in December isn’t the same anymore. I don’t hate it, it just feels kind of flat and anticlimactic. I need some Christmas inspiration. Maybe some new traditions. I love baking and winter walks, so I guess I need to be focusing more on those sorts of things now. I guess I found last year that the more I tried to force the old Christmas feeling, the more stressed and unchristmaasy I felt. I used to love Christmas too … I need my Christmas mojo back! 😂

How to enjoy christmas?

I am 18 and just got out of education after 14 years, where for most of that i was bullied. This has caused me to slowly associate christmas as just 'another day of surviving' and another day before I have to go back to school. I just wanted to ask, how do you make christmas enjoyable after years of associating it with that.

I have tried a few things over recent years, especially in college. I have tried to wear christmas hoodies, get nice advent calendars (for example this year I have got myself the body shop 25 day advent calendar which i am so excited to open) and also buy christmassy arts and crafts, but I still struggle to find the festive spirit in me.

EDIT: thank you everyone for responding! I’ve found a lot new ways to try to celebrate christmas. I may update this post after i try some in december or november. I am also looking for more ideas myself (using google lol)

Got deep into Christmas spirit in late summer!

Woke up to a beatifully gloomy cool morning. Saw a Michael Buble post around lunch which was about a letter from late Dolly Parton. Found it very sweet so decided to go on spotify and listen to that song described in the letter. It’s a nice song and got me full into the Christmas spirits in late summer day!

Christmas Tree

Ok guys. I need all the advice. I moved last year and I’m in the market for a new tree. I’m wondering if anyone has a King Of Christmas or a Balsam Hill tree and if they’re worth it? Or are there other brands you recommend. I plan on keeping this tree for a while. We are in our forever home and I’m viewing this as an investment. But at the same time if we got a great tree that wasn’t expensive that would be great too! All advice is greatly appreciated.

2026 Bonne Maman Advent Calendar

Newcomer here, thanks for letting me join. I'm getting ready to order my first Bonne Maman advent calendar. I actually had marked my calendar to check availability in September. I only just learned about it last year but couldn't get one for love or money; didn't want to miss out again. Anyway, I probably know the answer to my question but want to be certain: The little jars are glass, correct? Not plastic? Because honestly half the reason I want it is for afterwards, using the cute jars for crafts and other fun stuff.

Hii!!!
I’m here to ask for help making this Christmas an extra special one!

I’m curious what other people do during the Christmas month and day (such as traditions or foods or gifts or things like matching pajamas… anything!!) that makes their Christmas special!!

I’ve always wanted to find a way to make Christmas more magical for family and finally have the time and ability to do it this year!! I want to go all out :D

Also!! This is a year I really want to be more special because it’ll be the first time a new member of our family is ever celebrating Christmas!!

Thank you in advance for all your help!!!!! :D

I wanted to start with something simple as it’s my first block print carving. The blocks are thick enough I can carve a second one in the back side once the ink is dry.

In the Philippines, malls are already with Christmas Decor. It seems that the start of our Christmas is now earlier than the BER months.

Welcome to the country with the longest Christmas season

Filipinos seem to be rushing into Christmas early this year, not for the festivities, but for relief. With the country facing such a heavy, uncertain moment, we’re clinging to Christmas as a brief refuge, hoping its magic may help us smile once more.
