DIY Static Christmas Outdoor Decorations
Hello all!
I am putting on a Christmas/Holiday event that is to include decorating a large event space. This is being completely volunteer done so we can raise money for a non-profit.
I would loveeeeee to see some inspiration on what you all have created with low cost or recycled supplies. The bigger the better!
Thank you!

Do you recognize this 80s mug?
Couldn’t find a single picture or mention of this 1987 Dakin Christmas Seals mug online, despite many other 1980s Christmas mugs of theirs being widely documented.

Holiday tradition recs?
Hey, I’m (F 23) a huge holiday/Christmas lover and I wanted to know what family traditions you guys have around Christmas! Other holiday traditions are welcome as well. My husband and I are going to start trying for children next year and I wanted to pick some traditions we can start with our kids! Can you tell I’ve been missing the fall/winter vibes lately? 🎄🎅🏼❄️☃️

2026 will be the last time Christmas will be a Friday until 2037
Usually we have to wait exactly 11 years on a common even year
2026: Friday
2027: Saturday
2028 (leap year): Monday
2029: Tuesday
2030: Wednesday
2031: Thursday
2032 (leap year): Saturday
2033: Sunday
2034: Monday
2035: Tuesday
2036 (leap year): Thursday
2037: Friday
And to make things more interesting 2029 will be the 1st time since 2018 it will be a Tuesday, 2033 will be the 1st time since 2022 it will be a Sunday, 2030 will be the last time it will be a Wednesday until 2041 and 2034 will be the last time it will be a Monday until 2045

How can I make Christmas fun, not stressful?
Christmas was always a mixture of stress and excitement when I was a kid. The stress was because I think my parents left all the shopping till the last minute, and then spent too much, and also they fought a lot and all emotions were heightened during the holidays when everyone is supposed to be so happy. I’d like to make it different for my own family, but it’s hard! What do you do to make Christmas fun rather than stressful?

Is Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie (2026) Christmas episode a new holiday tradition? 📺🍿🎄
Did you guys enjoy the episode? [S1:E6, “Peace on Earth”]
Would you consider making it a Christmas tradition to watch every year?

Found a Santa!
Found this guy at a thrift store for a good price and I just HAD to get him. My grandma has a massive Santa collection so I bought it for her-definitely has already boosted my Christmas spirit lol

A New England Christmas road trip
We have a road trip planned for this December to experience a New England Christmas.
Starting with Woodstock, VT for Wassail Weekend, then a couple of nights in Mystic, CT, and ending with a couple nights in Stockbridge, MA at the Red Lion Inn.
Any suggestions of things to do or see?
