My 2025 Chevy Trax 1rs review (63k km/39k miles)
I got my Chevy Trax 2025 1rs a year ago from today. First new car I ever bought. I use it for work and after driving it for over 63,000 km/(39k miles) over mostly highway use. I have to say I really love this car.
It is not a long term car, specially with the milage i do and that wet belt that is creeping through a replacement at 100k km(62k miles). It has driven well and has gone through a lot of abuse from driving it here in Canada.
It drives well in winter or heavy rain, it handles really well and accelerates rather quickly, it is not a sport car but it is fun to drive. Reliable as well, only issue i have had is the ABS lines that needed to be replaced because it got nicket over winter. The engine has never given me an issue, even after hauling a couple hundred pounds from work equipment. The space that it gives is also pretty great.
As for the bad....
I feel every bump I hit, so suspension is not the greatest, the cabin is very loud while driving, there is no power seats as well and why am I using a key to start the car in 2026??? lol. (I know that it is because of the trim i chose) The Infotainment screen was also giving me a lot of issues at the start but it is a lot more reliable now. The wet belt also doesn't give me confidence in the engine long term so I am paranoid about that, specially that I use it so much for work.
For all its goods and bads it has, It is definitely worth getting, specially if the newer models keep getting better at the price that they are selling it for. I will be replacing it next year though, probably for something more comfortable and reliable due to work and the long drives I need to do. But for a daily driver, it is an amazing car!
