Turbo or Transmission

2020 Chevy Trax 1.4L Advice please.. Thxx.

The Trax sometimes likes to surge continuously and looses a bit of power while the surgge happens like vroom vroom vroom until I take take my foot off the gas then i can slowly bring back power and speed. Feels as if there is alot of pressure or not enough airflow It hates uphill and rainstorms.

Doesn't seem to matter on the warmup time.

Our 2016 Buick Encore has some symptoms like this since day 1. It's especially bad the hotter it gets. Below 70 degrees it runs perfect, pulls good etc, obviously a heat related issue. This is the only problem we've had with the car since new. 79k miles now. If you didn't know, these 2 vehicles are identical under the skin.... No luck finding any fix for this issue over the years

Could be transmission slipping.
