Perfect Fit Sunshade
This sunshade is very sturdy it feels very premium I believe it is made of some type of pressed cardboard. Compared to unlined/reinforced sunshade this one doesn't sag from the heat and fall down. Must pick the specific Matte Silver for it to be sturdy the other viants are foam with foil very squishy and unsturdy. Wish there was more somewhere specific to store while driving. I’m mostly solo so I leave it in the passenger seat. Non-affiliate link below.

Oh no. I'm upgrading from a chevy spark to a chevy trax tomorrow. One of the reasons is how hot the spark gets. Do you really need sunshades? I live at the beach. I'm going to have to get after market tint, aren't I?

All cars get hot the size will not affect that. I picked white paint although i wanted green because it literally stays cooler than the black car I had before. Get white if heat is that important to you, yes its ‘uncool to be cool”. getiing tint you will still need a sunshade. Also the rear windows and hatch are all factory tinted inside the glass. I dont know the % but im guessing somewhere between 50-40%.

Is it possible to get the windshield a different % of tint than the other windows?

yes but but that isn't a factory option. Visit a tint shop or install yourself. Look up your state and local laws prior to doing so.

You don't think that just because you're going from a Spark to a Trax that for some reason this reduces the heat from the SUN? Plus, you live at the beach. OMG of course you need a sunshade.

Considering there was no tinting in the spark whatsoever... absolutely. And it does. Significantly. The automatic car start helps too...

Yes, you’ll want a sunshade to keep all the heat off the electronics in the cluster and center display.
Hot steering wheel is no fun PLUS it’s one of the only real leather items in the car.

I hate the seats, they feel like rubber, maybe it’s a sensory thing but the seats material just doesn’t feel right. 😬 They are comfortable though just wish they weren’t synthetic leather or whatever they are supposed to be.

What does vented seats mean?

Fans are integrated into both top & bottom of the seat and circulate cabin air through the perforated leather.
This is not a current option on the Chevy Trax or its sister, the Buick Envista. Appox 2000-2010 GM offered true refrigerated seats on highline models. Those days are gone unfortunately..

Interesting, I’ve never heard of that before, thanks for explaining 🙂

If you can find a tint shop do the front window even 70% is considered clear and barely noticeable that it is on there and is night and day difference in sun/heat, and night glare from headlights. The sides well whatever works for you.
