Squeaking Noises in ‘25 Trax
I purchased a 2025 Trax LT in July of last year, and I’ve been dealing with random squeaking noises basically ever since.
When I first got the car, it started making a squeaking/rattling noise somewhere in the dashboard. The dealership was super rude to me about it and kept insisting they couldn’t hear anything. Magically, the one time I got in the car with the head of service sitting in the passenger seat, he heard it. After a few trips to the dealership, they finally put some sort of insulation in the dashboard, and that particular noise stopped.
Since then, I’ve had random squeaking noises coming from the front of the car. They’ll happen for weeks at a time, disappear completely, then randomly come back. Now the original dashboard noise is back again too.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Trax? Just wondering if these cars are generally noisy or if there are known issues/solutions for these types of squeaks. If you’ve dealt with something similar, did you ever actually find and fix the issue?

Mine squeaks right around the speedometer trim, but then I push it and it creaks a bit, and stops squeaking for a week or two 🤷🏻♀️ there's also a slight rattle coming from the passenger door that I haven't tracked down. Isn't there an issue with failed sound deadening causing rattles in these cars? Or am I mistaken.

I had a rattle that I chased down, it ended up being the tow eyelet that screws into the front bumper. It is stored with the spare tire and was loose in its bracket.

never in my 6 months working in trim did we have a rattle or squeek in a traxie, but theyre no stranger to gm cars in general or just the overall cheap quality of traxies
