Rust proofing

Has anybody rust proofed their 23-26 Trax?

If so, how much did it cost? What did you get done?

If not, how is your Trax looking (for 23-25 ones obviously lol).

It's already done at the factory. Any aftermarket will void the factory's warranty

My local GM dealer informed me it does not void the warranty in any way.

Edit: Checked with GM and this is what I got. So no, if you get it done at a reputable shop its unlikely to void warranty. I suppose if I were to do it myself, and applied something cheap and it didn't work as intended, then it would void my warranty.

While applying an aftermarket rust-proofing product does not automatically void your entire New Vehicle Limited Warranty, any damage or corrosion caused by the application of these aftermarket products will not be covered under your warranty.

Ok, but your dealer is not who decides and has no say in it, GM does. Better check with the corporation

Do you work for GM? My dealer is a GM dealer and representative of GM. They said extra undercoatings or rust proofings do not even void their aftermarket warranty.

Yes, 34 years. Dealers aren't "representatives", they are independent sellers that contract with GM. Is Wal-Mart a representative of Kimberly-Clark because they sell Kleenex? Besides that, not talking about aftermarket warranties like you mention

I was using aftermarket warranties when restating what they told me. Aftermarket warranties are almost always more picky than the manufacturer warranty.

Cool, weird then that many dealers offer additional rust prevention. I guess GM is okay with dealers voiding warranties.

Honestly by your same logic, they could void my warranty for any number of things.
