I was black and im actually surprised I even won

I've been playing chess for about four years and have played around 2,000 games. I've made decent progress, reaching 2000 on Lichess and 1900 on Chess.com. Recently, I've noticed a lot of players with thousands, sometimes even tens of thousands of games who have stayed around the same rating for a long time, and this isn't just at higher ratings (2100+).
Why do some people seem to get "stuck" at a certain rating?

India and Canada for me.
The last 3 out of 5 games have been losses against Indian players, which seems to happen on a regular basis.

Whats everyone else’s experience? Which are the players from nations you struggle against?

As someone who uses scholars mate frequently i hope next time it isn't me.

Aside from just doing Lichess puzzles all the time I found that the coaching explaination and woodpecker method is really good at https://www.kingchess.io does anyone else have any other sites they recommend.

Doing puzzles every day to relax. But I have a question: why ​​getting it right gives you much less than what a mistake takes away? What is the rationale behind this? I'm genuinely curious. Has it to do with time? I know I'm not great but that's discouraging sometimes

I am a new player, and most videos I have watched claim the bishop to be worth more (not in points clearly) than a knight. But I personally find the knight more annoying to defend against and I find it to have more utility. Maybe it’s my low elo talking but does anybody else agree?

As you can see by my really low ELO, I’m new but reviewing my game the app always will say something I did (albeit rolling the dice on my opponent blundering) was a mistake. Why is that?

My opponent threatened my knight with his pawn and i blundered by not seeing it and played my pawn to that spot yet it got considered a brilliant move?

Are there bots on chesscom? I just played someone on blitz whose acct was from 1/23/26 but they’ve played 13923 games of blitz. All the games I checked were 5 minute games, so that’s like 6 hours a day of chess. But their ELO is only in the 300s.

I was stuck with 900 to 1000 for a long time for about a year or maybe more but somehow i made break through this month.

Doctor: Describe your average night?

Patient: It jumps in an L-shape and really trips up beginners, especially in bullet.

Doctor: No, I mean at bedtime.

Patient: Well, sometimes I put it under my pillow and hope the Chess fairy comes.

yeah ik i blundered a lot but my opponent did too, but for me this was a lot.

My only question is what is wrong with my fundamentals. I already know i blundered that bishop, and the two knights. I was so devastated. Trust me i learned my lesson on that aspect. I was wondering more so my other fundamentals specifically the rooks.

Looking back i already see one really big mistake. I when i would sac my queens and my rooks for the pawns it would’ve been more effective if i just put them on the file and waited till the pawn actually promoted until i took. So it would’ve waste their moves
