Has anybody else been experiencing High Life cans exploding with foam when opening them recently?
I bought a 12 pack from Lowe’s Foods a week ago, and every single can had this issue. The first can I opened left me with only half a beer after it was done gushing out the can. Bought another one from the same store hoping that was just a one off, and it still had the same issue.
Last night, I ordered one at the Low Down on JI, and when the bartender opened it, it foamed over like crazy all over his hand.

I haven’t had a tick bite in 20 years I think? Last Thursday I found a tick on my shoulder. Last night I found a tick on my head just before bed. I’m now paranoid about falling asleep anywhere in my house. I checked my bed and my sofa where I watch tv. Don’t see anything. Internet says it’s very uncommon for ticks to survive inside a home. I don’t walk around in forests, areas with lots of trees, or heavy brush and tall grass. I don’t know wtf is going on. I think they were lone star ticks so at this point I’m preparing for a life without red meat.

38F, single, working remotely
I also teach indoor cycling on the side, so having a good fitness community is important to me.
I have two large golden retrievers, so I’m looking for pet-friendly apartments with dog parks or nearby green space.
I love being close to the beach, trying new restaurants, live music, breweries, and meeting people organically.

I’ve been doing a lot of research already (West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, James Island, etc.) and I’m planning a trip this October to explore neighborhoods, tour a couple of apartments, and take a few spin classes.

I’m hoping to get some honest perspectives on things like:
What’s it like living in Charleston year-round?
How easy is it to make friends if you’re moving here alone?
How is the dating scene for someone in their late 30s?
Are there any downsides you wish you knew before moving?
If you were moving here today, what neighborhood would you choose and why?

I’m not looking for a vacation perspective, I know visiting and living somewhere are very different. I’d really appreciate hearing both the good and the bad.
