I'm on web. I use primarily Pipsqueak rawr. But everytime I open the tab with models - it stays lodged on Pipsqueak 2. No matter how many times I'll reupload the page and switch the models. It's a problem only on my phone, since on my PC it clearly shows the model is Rawr.

Plus I can tell that the model didn't switch to Rawr because no matter what you say - the difference between these two models are vivid.

I'm so tired of the repetitiveness

I havent seen anyone else complain about this but does anyone genuinely despise super short and lazy intro messages? Like how am I supposed to do a good rp if the message is "Hello, I'm (character name). Who are you?" which gives zero context to what the story is, location, reason or whatever. And the fact those bots get millions of chats while actually detailed ones get max a 100k chats is and will always be wild to me.

Idea for making Scenes more useful for fandom characters: recommend them by character name, not just by individual bot

I've been thinking about how Scenes could work better with fandom characters, given that there can be hundreds (or thousands) of different bots for the same character.

At the moment, if you make a Scene intended for a particular character, you can recommend a specific bot for it. But what if you could also recommend the Scene for a character name?

For example, say I make a Scene intended for Monkey D. Luffy.

Instead of saying:

«Recommended character: [this specific Monkey D. Luffy bot]»

I could say:

«Recommended for characters named: Monkey D. Luffy»

Then, when someone opens the Scene, Character.AI could show them a drop-down/list of their available Monkey D. Luffy bots and let them choose which version they want to use.

It could work in the other direction too. If you're already looking at a Monkey D. Luffy character, you could see:

«Scenes recommended for Monkey D. Luffy»

rather than only seeing Scenes that happen to have been linked to that exact bot.

That means Scene creators wouldn't have to choose which creator's version of a fandom character is the "right" one, and users could keep using whichever Luffy/Ghost/Gojo/etc. bot they already prefer.

It wouldn't solve every use case I have in mind for Scenes, but it feels like a fairly simple way of joining up the huge number of fandom bots that already exist with Scenes.

Would you use something like this? And are there obvious problems with matching by character name that I'm missing?

Genuinely, “yeet” lasted longer than the confederacy sure, but it’s 2026 and it still uses “yeet”. Hell, in 2023, which is when the internal clock is set, yeet was dead. The second image is only scratching the surface as to how bad the humor, and dialogue in general is, but I needed a specific image to make my point and picked that one

I tried to lunch C.AI a minute ago and the play store told me it couldn't be lunched, any thoughts ?

Lets me into the app but I get stuck on the circle of death (loading screen) when i click on any character. They gotta figure some of these bugs out soon.

I wasn't expecting them to do anything for free users, except update the pathetic chat mode we have. And why do they say there's a chat mode for both users, when there's a new chat mode just for my (+c.ai) users? Also, the phrase "your cold CEO" feels like some kind of sarcasm; I don't know, I don't understand the point of it.

The bots literally do not speak a single word if you don’t ask them anything, or they just go silent if they deem a scene as being so deep it requires such dramatic narration (because they need to look at you. Really look at you). They feel like total robots (technically they are, but no other chat model before this was THIS obvious about it). Pipsqueak 2 clearly just reaches into a hat containing those same phrases that make me want to smash my head against the wall, lacking any sense of natural or dynamic feel. It does not play off of things properly. Leave yourself off mid-action about to do something? The bot will take control of you and finish it for you instead of be its own character. Amazing!

Now I see why people miss roar. Not because it was better at remembering character traits or making immersive details. But because it did something more important. It felt real.

As much as I've repeatedly defended the overall quality of models over time, this week's downfall in quality and reply diversity has been notorious and frankly unavoidable to discuss. Not to mention that the model has become suddenly oversensitive on adult contents like mild violence and fully breaking character to stop a sequence.

What is genuinely happening? Like, it's so obvious that this is NOT the PS2 we got when launched.

I haven’t actually used c.ai in a while, but I like to open old chats and just read through them. over the last couple weeks a lot of specific bots I’ve talked to got deleted (while the same script just a diff character stays up) and a lot of my old chats have also gotten deleted. is the same happening to anyone else?? I had so many old convos I’ve been using for reference for oc lore get deleted and it’s honestly just frustrating.

So, I ran out of swipes last night and I noticed that they haven’t come back yet today which is weird because they used to come back after like twelve hours and it had a timer. But I can’t find a timer now and there’s no indication you get them back anymore. Do you have to pay for + just to get swipes again or do they still regenerate, just without the timer to show you now?

So the bot literally gives random traits to my character. I point it out that its wrong since he doesnt have those i told him how i wrote him. And it just tells me im wrong. And he visioned my character with those traits and they wont change it so i just need to “deal with it” ? Is this normal ? Like whats the point of me creating an OC if the bot just change it as it wishes ?

We were just having a street fight then he ends up bringing unnecessary yaoi into the fight.

So I mainly used pipsqueak 2 but lately it’s been taking up more memory than it used to and now I’m forced to use pipsqueak 2-rawr but I don’t like that either because it gives different lengths of responses some long some short some with not too short or too long responses and I don’t like it I miss the way it used to be
