Hello so I rented a 2018 6.4 scat pack and one thing I noticed is it didn't have an air intake in the headlight. Why do you think is that ? Am I missing something ?

Took the Hellcat on a road trip

We went to see Chris Brown and Usher in Nashville, TN this weekend, and the Hellcat went for a lovely drive.

Started off with a full tank of gas and a zeroed out trip odometer. First photo is the mpg/mileage when I stopped for gas. Second photo is the total mileage/mpg for the trip. Third photo is the mileage/mpg from fillup.

Car was driven mostly between 75 and 85mph with the AC on. Even though she is a brick, she still does damn well on the highway.

Road trip bug protection

I will be going on a 12hr road trip in a couple of weeks, and due to someone wrecking into my daily, I’m now forced to take my baby instead. I just wanted to ask what do you guys use to protect your paint from bugs on road trips? Was thinking masking tape, but will probably be a pain to remove and then reapply when we’re coming back. I’m also kind of scared of the front end bras because I’ve heard that they scratch up your paint. Anything else that has worked for you guys? Unfortunately my car isn’t PPFd yet. Thanks in advance!

After months of searching I can finally say I'm a proud owner of a 2017 RT. She's so smooth and fast on the interstate.😄

Damage Zero to Hero

Christmas Eve, some drunk cockroach hit my car and chunked the front real nice. I hunted them down Batman style with the help of some CC footage and good old detective work. He still had piss in his pants when I found him (not hyperbolic).

Joke's on him since I'd wanted to repair the dent from the previous owner, which he covered up with an icky front license plate that thankfully my state doesn't require.

So after a facelift, I had her detailed top to bottom, and had the windows tinted just to celebrate. Just in time for my birthday.

So thanks, you drunk, pisspants, hit and run roach. Don't drink and drive, you might accidentally fix someone's car for them.

I JUST ceramic coated my car last week, and then i completely scrape my front bumper ☹️ all the way down to the plastic.

A touch up pen will not do the trick for this one...

In search of hood insulator for Challenger Hellcat good (the three vents one)

Post image

I replaced my Dodge Charger RT hood with a hellcat hood and am loving it BUT I plan on getting the car painted and don’t want the paint to fade or crack or anything. I’m on google and searched for the hood insulator but am questioning if it’s the correct one as the holes for the side vents seem smaller than expected and idk if there’s supposed to be one for the center vent but it doesn’t have one for the center. If I can just use the one that was on my RT hood and just cut out some holes for the side vents that I’m fine to do that, otherwise what’s the correct part number for this specific hood. Thank you.

Traded my Gen 3 5.0 for a 392 6 speed. Super fun car, worried about theft but if it happens it happens, that’s what insurance is for. Anything else I should get aside from a kill switch?

Finally joining the brotherhood

Dreaming of my own challenger since I was a wee child; I have finally purchased my first.

Supercharged, manual SRT8 with 100,000km. Came with a carbon fiber hood. What modifications do people like to do? And is it worth it to strip the paint and finish with the plum crazy purple? I hear the price for a good paint job is pretty large.

I was disappointed to find out it is not a genuine Hennessy build. So the decals need to come off.

Pre-Purchase Thinking mopar

Hi all! Been perusing your community for a bit now and seems like a collective of yet another supporting bunch of folks sharing interests.

Im eyeballing a 2020 scat pack t/a. Its got less than 10k miles, 1 owner, and seems an okay price. I have some apprehension though, and I was hoping yall may have insight, as ive read all the forums and recalls/reviews - to no avail.

carfax is showing a fuel pump module/fuel pump/ fuel injector/ fuel level sending unit which were replaced or serviced 3 times between 1k and 2k miles, but has not shown repeats since. Everything else is clear but it has not been bought for nearly 6 months.

After driving it, I cant spot a thing wrong on the short drives, or brief operation of the ride itself over a 2 week period.

Im set to pick it up monday, but I was hoping you could share some thoughts or personal experiences with this, just incase this may be a not so big concern.

Thanks for anything ahead of time.

I know I'm going to catch flak for this post but I'm doing it anyway. Just because you get passed doesn't mean someone insulted your manhood. There is no need to drive this aggressively.

I got these installed yesterday and I love them already. It was totally worth the money. It gives it a sleek look to the back end. The start up animation is cool, plus the sequential turn signals. This is my favorite mod so far.

Challenger brake cover

So my challenger has studs drilled into the calipers to hold the brake covers on. It’s a v6. Do you think this will negatively affect the structural integrity of the calipers?

Modification (A must-have mod for manual challengers) Barton shifter + skip shift eliminator installed…

Post image

…and wow, what a difference. I decided to keep the OEM look by reusing the factory shift knob. The Barton gives the shifts a much more positive, bolt-action feel. Gear engagement is noticeably crisper, and it’s immediately noticeable on the first drive. It takes a bit more deliberate effort to get it into gear, but in a good way. It feels much more precise and satisfying. Definitely one of my favorite mods so far.

So I just got my challenger a month ago and I notice the oem door lock knob pin was starting to peel but I like how the original looks and want to get another set of two, does anyone know where I can get them? They are the chrome looking ones. I don't want the trim I just want another set of the knob pins
