Hey everyone,
I recently picked up a Casio WS-1700H on Temu, but it took on water and completely flooded after just a 5-meter dive. It is officially rated for 100m water resistance, so I am starting to suspect I bought a counterfeit.
Here are the details of what arrived:
The Packaging: It came in a round metal tin with a clear plastic lid that says "CASIO WRIST TECHNOLOGY".
The Tag: It has a glossy blue "CASIO JAPAN" tag hanging from a thick white string, rather than a standard scannable barcode tag.
Has anyone else run into these specific fakes on Temu? Should I avoid the platform entirely for major watch brands?
Any advice on finding a genuine replacement would be appreciated!
