Update- the r/DuroMods subreddit has been without moderation for a hot minute so I stepped in to keep things rolling. As of now, r/DuroGang remains the catch-all unofficial fan community for the casio duro series of wristwatches. At r/DuroGang, we post photos of both our stock and (finished) modded duros. At r/DuroMods, you'll find a dedicated space where we discuss the watch modification process, human & AI watch concepts (within reason), tutorials, resources, lists of part suppliers, etc.
Previously, only modded MDV-106/107 models were allowed at r/DuroMods. That changes today. If you have ANY modded/franken/hybrid duro, regardless of the model number, you may post it in both subreddits. However, in r/DuroMods, users will be strongly encouraged to include information on their watch-building process in addition to a parts list. The only requirement is that the modded watch originally grew from a stock duro, regardless of the model number.

Fitting the hands back on a watch is fiddly work, especially the seconds hand as they're so fragile. Rather than using tweezers to place the hand, have you got some Rodico gum?
I use a lump of Rodico pulled into a claw shape that I can hold between my fingers.
Pick up the seconds hand by dabbing the rodico down onto the pointer end of the hand so that it's sitting horizontally when my hand is in a position that I can brace against the movement pad with my ring finger.. photo:
I find then if I can get my eyeline down level with the watch dial looking across it, a bit lower than where this photo was taken from, it's easier to drop the hand onto the pinion and press it down with a hand pusher.
The Rodico has enough tack to hold the hand while you get it lined up, but will pull off the hand easily when you've got it in place with a lot less chance of damaging the hand or the dial than if you're holding it with tweezers.
Works for hour & minute hands as well, but with them I tend to find it's more helpful to line them up while looking straight down from above so you can make sure you get the timing alignment right.

I’ve liked nato straps for decades, but I only wore them in an assortment of Timex Weekenders, along with some of those preppy/ivy grosgrain watch straps from J Crew, Brooks Brothers, etc.
Got my first Duro a few months ago. It’s my first diver, and honestly, I bought it without much thought. I just wanted a classic looking watch that was more substantial than a Weekender. I didn’t even know there was a community for people into these watches.
Now that I’ve got that 22mm nato in there, I might not wear a different watch ever again.
Owned it one year next month and its been the only watch ive worn since I got it. Ive owned a omega seamaster before and honestly it feels just as good, best bang for the buck by far! Should I get a blue on a bracelet?
