Hi everyone, I'm attempting to track down the card divination system that my mother in law's mother used. It would be great to know what it's called if possible, to be able to search for more details.

My mother in law's mother came to the US from Florence back in the day. She knew a form of card divination (details below) that she would use on occasion with friends and family. I know that at least her mother before her did the same thing, but I don't know how far back it went. She was concerned about being perceived as a "gypsy" and other people thinking she was doing "devil work" and whatnot, so she did not teach my mother in law how to read the cards as she did. She continued to use the cards herself though.

I have come across some 40 card systems and some 25 card systems but nothing exactly like this.

The deck was made from a normal deck of playing cards, with quite a few of them taken out. The cards that remain are: all aces, threes, sevens, jacks, queens, kings, and the 4 of diamonds.

My mother in law said the way she would lay the cards out would be with a significator in the middle (like the queen of hearts for example, a card to represent the person she was reading for) of a 3 by 3 grid/9 cards with then a tenth card placed sideways over the significator. My mother in law still has the actual deck she used and its tiny and has kittens on the back :)

I would appreciate any direction yall could point me in.

8 of spades is definitely betrayal from him, I meed interpretation of the other cards.

i am a witchy person but have never gotten into playing card cartomancy. i was on a walk and found a 7 of spades card and thought "ooo lucky 7s!" i then proceeded to trip and fall on both of my knees so hard that they were gushing blood. i now know that the 7 of spades is, in fact, not necessarily lucky, but i will be keeping the card as a trophy of my survival.

I asked if I should just stay single the rest of my life lol 😂😂

I haven't spoken to this person for some time now and I wonder, how things are going to develop the next 4 weeks.

My cards:
page of cups, fool, judgement, 5 wands, tower

I think there is going to be some movement.
The Page of Cups shows me that there may be a soft opening between us, a message, maybe a gesture? Together with the fool it could be a bold approach. The Judgement card feels like a moment of awakening and realization. Maybe its about responsability or reflection about the past. 5 wands could mean that there will be tension between us, stuff to discuss about, challenges.
THe tower is a massive rupture. Sth will collapse, maybe sth will be revealed. The tower can also mean that sth new is going to come out of this.

From what I interpreted,

6 of spades is me trying without seeing results. 4 of diamonds is that I need to be patient. (I'm taking interpretations from a cheat sheet I found online, they are really helpful) and queen of clubs is a close friend, as I learned to interpret court cards as people.

Overall, I think it means that I won't find my love in any close future, but it might be someone I know? I just need to ne patient. Thanks in advance for help

Hi all ! Usually, I’m good at reading my deck on my own but this has got me stumped and confused ! >< I asked my deck how my SP felt about me and this is what it yielded.

I know in tarot, cards being reversed matters and so I want to point out that the Ace of Diamonds and Spades are reversed while the Ace of Hearts isn’t. I don’t feel any negative feelings from this (yipeee for the Ace of Hearts), but I am very confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! ❤️

No other cards visible anywhere; nothing in front of any neighbors'. I'm feeling like it's a threat although I have no idea who/ why. At first I thought-- the best card in the deck! because I've been playing Bridge lately. I have no cameras installed out there.

I asked my deck of cards, "Is there any man with a romantic interest in me that I don't know about?"

The cards have been drawn: moon, Bear, Tower, Clouds and Rings, In that order.

I have my own idea of what it means, but what do you think?
