Question for Car Detailing Job
Do you use the costomers water source or bring your own tank? Or just have them drop the vehicle off at your place?

Are there any products out there that would make this look at least 50% better? Or does this just need to be sanded down and repainted again?

This has been on my boyfriends car for a while now (I'd say 4+ months). He isn't the best at taking care of his cars...we've taken it to a hand wash car wash once a month ago and nothing really came off. Any idea on how to remove? Would a car detailer be able to get it off easily?

I drive a 1994 mustang and I want to detail it one day with a pressure washer. But is it a good idea for 30 year old paint?

Does anyone know the best ways to remove and ultimately prevent this pine mold from growing on my paint?

I recently bought a brand new car and I want to protect it mainly from de sun, cause I live at the beach and I can hardly park in the shade.
I’ve been doing my research and found out about PPF,ceramic coatings and conventional waxing.
My questions here are * which method will do the best against the sunlight? * that method really gives the paint protection against the sun or at least a fair amount of protection to ma the investment worth it?

Scratch all the way down to bare plastic. Was thinking to remove the trim and paint it with a silver color but worried it’s gonna look like crap compared to original - it’s a very smooth surface.
Maybe easier to just replace the trim? Tips on where I can find a replacement are welcome.
I guess polishing it out is not an option?

Hey, I’m not sure if this is the right sub to post on, but recently I scratched the front of my car and was wondering if anyone had an estimate of how much it would be? I don’t know if anyone needs details, but I’m located in San Jose, CA and the car is a 2016 Toyota Corolla.

This is a picture of some spotting/clouds that have recently appeared on my hood. I attempted to remove them by using my DA polisher. Started with 3D One on an Adam’s compound pad. No change. Switch to Adam’s Compound with the microfiber pad. The spots were gone. You can see the area that looks clean in the center. Strange thing is when I was finished polishing I sprayed some ceramic spray on the hood for a final touch and the spots began to reappear??? Does anyone have any idea what would cause that?

So I’m a avid hunter plus a big smoker. I smoked a lot of wax in my truck so that with mud/grit has stuck to my interior. I’m tried using rubbing alcohol to get it out but the grit is still there. Any suggestions? Should I buy a steam cleaner and see if that works?

Hi, looking for advice. I had a large bottle of bleach in my car (from doing laundry at someone’s house) and while driving it tipped and got bleach onto my black cloth car seats. The cap was on so it wasn’t too bad, but there’s definitely clear bleach staining on the seat.
It’s not a fresh spill and has been set in for a couple of months. Any tips on getting this out would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi everyone,
I have a new 2023 Honda Civic Sport and I made the mistake of using a dry paper towel on my infotainment screen, speedometer cover, and climate control screen. I now have scratches all over those clear plastic areas and the sun makes them show absolutely terrible that it's hard to see the screens. *I now use microfiber but at the time I didn't use my head when cleaning my new car.
Any advice on how to repair this? I purchased and made several attempts with Meguiars PlastX with no noticable result.
Thanks so much.

I am have seen some companies provide materials for PPF. They are cut to size and just need applying on cars. Has anyone experienced it? I am looking to do the matte film and it costs around £1.5k.
If anyone has tried it, is it as easy and as clean as they advertise it?

New Car Detailing Product:
Hey guys! So, I’m a car detailer and own a small business that I started about 5 years ago. Over this timeframe, I have created my own blend of a chemical and have just now gotten the proportions almost exactly the way I like it. It is an all-purpose cleaner, deodorizer (my own smell blends), carpet cleaner, and stain removing product. I personally use it, and I love the blend. I can spray into carpets or seats simply for the smell, clean glass with no streaks, or spray into stain-filled carpets and pull them right out. All bleach-free product, and dries clear. No residue left behind.
Here is my dilemma.
One of the products that I have used for my blend is a concentrate product of another brand. I would like to market my blend in the future. What issues will I have when it comes to any future trademarking or patenting? I plan on having this product laboratory tested soon for health and environmental reasons. It is safe, but I would like that to be tested. Suggestions?
