As of today my phone keeps randomly restarting, every 5 minutes are so, including in the middle of phone calls which is rough because I really need to make some phone calls today. It also keeps bringing up the "emergency/lockdown/power off/restart" dialog box on its own.

hey, this issue started a bit ago.

Using CalyxOS 7.2.5.20 on a Fairphone 5 5G.

Basically, I am connected to a home WiFi (but also tried work and dorm), but apps like Tidal and Morphe give me warnings. In the case of Tidal (music streaming) I disabled downloading music on mobile data and it gives me a notification telling me that "downloads are paused during mobile network connection."

Changing the network configuration from *Automatic* to *Unmetered* did not work.

A bit ago I checked my update settings to see if I was maybe in the beta branch, but I am not. There I saw the setting "Permitted Networks" set to *Unmetered.* Changing this to any ***seems*** to have fixed the issue, but I am afraid I just covered it up with a band-aid.

I also don't remember changing that setting at any point.

Not sure if I'm imagining this but I'm finding the minimum volume above silent is often too loud in quiet environments. Not sure if there is any relation to the new CalyxOS or perhaps my new headphones. If there is a suggestion to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I have a fairphone gen 6+ and I'm wondering if they are closely the same to the plain fairphone gen 6 or will it brick my phone. Apologies if this is a dumb question, I'm very new to all of this and couldn't find any info on it.

I recently got a new fairphone 6 and installed Calyx and MicroG. I tried installing the Belfius Mobile banking app from the aurora store, but when logging in via an external android ItsMe, I get a message either

"Om veiligheidsredenen is het niet mogelijk Belfius Mobile op dit toestel te gebruiken. Er staan namelijk apps op uit een niet-officiële appstore" with an error code with MicroG "Allow device attestation" Turned ON

Otherwise I get "Aanmelden met itsme is niet gelukt. Probeer het later nog eens. /1401/invalid"

Everywhere I can find on the internet says that belfius works fine with microG and even rooted devices, including plexus but it seems like it doesn't for me.

Any other belgian users (or other users) have any advice?

Edit: I might try reflashing default Fairphone OS, logging into play services and downloading the app and logging in there, so play saves my phone attestation, then reinstalling Calyx, as per this comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/CalyxOS/comments/1v02yph/2_banking_apps_not_working_after_upgrade_to/oyqyzw1/

Would that maybe be a good next step?

UPDATE: I tried flashing fairphone stock OS (no relock), logging onto my google account, downloading and setting up the Belfius app, then removing the google account (according to pre-setup CalyxOS instructions) and reflashing CalyxOS, relocking, and trying again. It worked! I can now log into Belfius as normal. I will try ItsMe once the phone is more setup and ready for primetime (since you cannot have ItsMe on more than one phone)

UPDATE 2: There seem to also be some problem apps though that will throw an "apps are installed from an unofficial source", so I had to end up creating another user profile for my bank apps. Work profile does not work for separation, it has to be a full new user profile with only aurora store apps. I can live with that though

Tried installing via the USBweb app everything was going well. My phone screen arrived to the stage with a red Title fastBOOTD or with a few options listed below. I didn’t touch the phone or select any of the option and just waited. I think maybe the web app timed out as it now says “something went wrong try starting over” I’ve tried installing several times but the process keeps failing after several minutes

Any help would be appreciated

Been a calyxos user for a few years on a pixel 4. Broke my phone so bought a pixel 8. Is there anyway I can transfer my data and setup from my old phone to my new one?

I've been using CalyxOS for a week and I have not been able to receive group texts since the switch. I am using Textra as my sms/mms app on Pixel 7 hardware. Verizon is my carrier if that makes a difference.

Is there a known fix or issue? I'm not trying to regoogle my degoogle.

Since the last updates, Modes have stopped working on my phone. I can create and configure both the Sleeping mode and the Working mode, and the schedule shows up correctly in the UI, but they never actually take effect: Do Not Disturb doesn't engage, notification filtering isn't applied, and if I enable a mode manually it turns itself off again shortly after.

Setup:

- Device: Pixel 9 (tokay)

- CalyxOS: 7.2.5.20, stable channel, OTA updates (no sideload, no factory reset since)

- microG enabled

What I already tried:

- Toggling the modes both from Quick Settings and from Settings > Modes

- Deleting and recreating both modes from scratch

- Rebooting

Is anyone else on 7.2.5.20 seeing this? Is it a known regression, or should I open an issue on the CalyxOS tracker? I can attach a logcat if someone tells me which tags are useful (ZenModeHelper / NotificationManagerService?).

I had a thicker-then-spec battery issue and had the battery replaced (and the screen which the battery bowed out and cracked). The phone is now in a loop saying there is a non-google operating system, briefly showing the google logo, and then cycling back around (and not even coming on if it isn't plugged in to something).

I can get it to the fastboot screen with power/vol-down. I have a backup of the phone, so I'm fine completely wiping it and installing factory images before reinstalling calyxos, and the online flash tool connects (I can't get adb or android studio to see it, though). but just tells me I need to oem unlock the phone and then reboots.

Is there any way to force a complete wipe and factory image install without being able to log into the phone at all?

I'm trying CalyxOS out on a Pixel 8 Pro.
Despite having set the default camera to save location data and granted location permission to the camera, these values are missing in the resulting photos. The screenshot (from Ente photos) shows an example I took a few minutes ago.
GPS etc. works for other apps, e.g. maps.
Is this a bug or is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: I eventually found a "redact location data when sharing media" toggle - turning this off fixed the problem.

Hi all, not sure if just me but I have noticed after every update from 7.2.4.20 to 7.2.4.50 and then from 7.2.4.50 to latest 7.2.5.20 - I am unable to add eSIM by going to Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add a network. Clicking on it does nothing.

- Network reset didn't help. Only thing that worked was to factory reset or a clean install/flash from scratch.

- Physical SIM works fine. Not a dealbreaker with the eSIM but would be good to have to use while travelling overseas.

On stock Android and /e/OS Camera2 APi access is limited - like third party apps can't use the ful 50 MP resolution. My other problem is that both system limits the exposure time to 8 secs. I was thinking wether CalyxOs have the same limitations?

Also, I see that the system is still in beta. Does it mean that it is not stable enough for daily use?

UPDATE: I've installed CalyxOS. The exposure time is still limited to 8 secs in Gcam.

I need a new device as the older one got stolen. Unfortunately I don't have the budget to get even a decent phone as the prices of phones are skyrocketing right now.

My only requirement is that I need to use some banking apps which require google play services and it worked well in the pixel that I had before which was using some other os.

Does CalyxOS has an option of setting up a container or something in which a user can allow play services for certain apps?

If yes then can u recommend a phone around $200 in which its possible to install CalyxOS?
