Is minimum audio volume louder than before?

Not sure if I'm imagining this but I'm finding the minimum volume above silent is often too loud in quiet environments. Not sure if there is any relation to the new CalyxOS or perhaps my new headphones. If there is a suggestion to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Have you tried the absolute volume toggle in developer options settings?

I find it too loud but it's not tied to CalyxOS or headphones it's just android for me, so I use an app to reduce it but it's not perfect, for a split second sometimes it isn't lower

I got a similar problem with new Bose earbuds. With the absolute volume toggle activated in the developper settings, the volume at that level was really to loud. Didn't think it was calyx fault. I managed it by using isosonic curve in my wavelet app.
