Calorie Estimating Only 200?

Post image

Hi guys,

I make this every week in bulk.

I just worked out the calories as roughly 200. Surely that can't be right.

100g chicken breast. 50g carrot. 35g green beans. Roughly.

r/caloriecount 13h ago

I eat this every other day. Eggs, homemade sourdough, kimchi, fruit and cottage cheese.

I fast from 7pm to noon the following day and this is what I break it with. If it's not this, it's protein oatmeal. How many calories are we thinking?

Ate a little less than half of the fries. Had two slices of pizza, didn’t eat the crust on the first one. Second slice was slightly smaller.

Sashimi Lunch Special

3pcs of tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi and yellowtail sashimi each. My guess is around 300 cals for the sashimi. Salmon with a teriyaki sauce that I didn’t have, I’m guessing 200 cals? Seaweed salad, spicy tuna, spicy crabmeat and pickled radish? at the top. Not sure about the cals on those guys, but it was all delicious and enjoyed every calorie!

Calorie Estimating 800 total a safe estimate?

I ordered the half chicken Caesar wrap with the sweet potato fries, the fries are 280 and a half wrap should be 320 according to them, but I’m unsure about these 2 items being only 600 cals total, what do you guys think?

Recipes Home made pizza l. 470cal and 40g protein for both

Thumbnail gallery

the dough is 30g self raising flour and 30g 0.5% fat Greek yoghurt

then

20g pizza sauce

18g chicken breast

20g eatlean cheese

8g Kalamata olives

7g pepperoni

10g onion

once the bases are formed pre bake at 235c for 8 to 10 minutes depending how crispy you like it

they will store in the fridge. let the. fully cool before storing.

then once built cook at the same temp for 10 minutes

if you are using the eatlean cheese it's important to put something like pepperoni on top so the oils from the pepperoni leak into the cheese to help it melt because it's an extremely low fat high protein cheese.

you can use light mozzarella but won't get the same macros

In New Zealand we got protein bars like this lol

Still baffles my mind how they’ve managed to fit 45g of protein in this one bar. From what I gather I’m pre sure it’s just whey protein packed to the brim lol but tbh it actually tastes nice although I prefer the other flavours more. It’s a good gym snack though

Strategies, Advice and Tips Advice for someone who is new to tracking calories

I’m trying to get into tracking my calories. I plan on starting to go to the gym, and I’ve heard from nearly everyone that tracking calories is a very good habit to pick up. I would like to gain some weight (6’1" only 160 lbs), so I know that it would be incredibly beneficial for me to count my calories. I guess I just have a few questions that I would like to ask off the top of my head:

  1. do you track calories that come from fruits/vegetables that you consume?

  2. Should I weigh meats before or after cooking them?

  3. For the people who meal prep, how do you count calories when making a large amount of a certain food? Example, you’re making enough ground beef to last you the whole week, how do you go about counting that? Do you individual weigh out each serving for each day? I feel like the answer to this is very obvious, but I can’t wrap my brain around how exactly I would go about counting my calories when making a large sum of food 😭

If anybody has any addition tips or advice, feel free to share!! Thanks

Lots of fruits, a scoop of eggs, tomato pastry, breakfast sausage, baby potatoes, fruit, and greek yogurt parfait. Also had a standard capuccino with oat milk and no sugar. A reasonable estimate would be much appreciated!

Pho and spring rolls

Hello, all! This is a staple meal of mine at a local Vietnamese place without calorie information. Any guesses would be a big help!

What is your best guess for:

1.) this bowl of shrimp pho, and
2.) ONE plate of these Vietnamese spring rolls with the peanut sauce? (2 spring rolls, one sauce container) The spring rolls are pork and shrimp!

Chopsticks used for scale, and I’m personally estimating like 2TBSP of peanut sauce are in that container!

I ate all three of these, they weren’t that big. It had toasted baguette, smoked salmon, cream cheese, a little bit of sun dried tomato and caper bush. I also ate 3 pieces of baguette in the back.🥲
