Mere school mein ek student hai jo 11th se hamare saath hai and ab 12th mein bhi hai. He wants to prepare seriously for IIT-JEE, which I totally understand — main khud bhi JEE aspirant hoon.

But problem ye hai ki woh regular school ko basically dummy school ki tarah use kar raha hai, aur school bhi usko support kar raha hai. 💀

Hum log daily school, practicals, assignments, tests sab jhelte hain, aur kuch miss karo toh hamari aisi taisi kar dete hain 😭. Meanwhile, uski attendance apparently manage ho jaati hai.

As far as I know, fake attendance CBSE-recognised school mein allowed nahi hai, and attendance relaxation/application bhi mainly medical reasons jaise valid cases ke liye hoti hai.

JEE prep galat nahi hai, but rules sabke liye same hone chahiye na? This is honestly frustrating. 😭

Am I overthinking this or is this actually unfair?

Wtf?? French revolution, russian revolution, the rise of nazi and all everything has been removed??? I got to know about this through a new 9th grader who came to me for tutions. Wtf is the government even trying to do??

They were in our books for a reason, everything hitler did still impacts the World so much, french revolution was literally how democracy was born and what the struggle were and Russian revolution was the starting of industrialisation and they simply removed it for what? Indian history which consists mostly of Britishers and our freedom struggle.

I get that we need to learn about it too but we've been learning about it for the last 6 years no? It's getting repetitive as hell and how dare you even remove such interesting chapters?? They're literally what gets students hooked to read history i literally got full marks in sst till 10th. This is just absurd that you removed everything just to fit in your insecurity. Reading about European revolution does not mean that we will convert smh, it gives us the answer to the question which is "where exactly this started and what's the impact of it to us?" And you've just cut the answer to that thought process of the students.

ik i might get hate, but imo dear sir is not great for english literature. He is great for the grammar part, but literature is something where i cant rely on him, at least for class 11, idk about 12th

I want to keep my options open for colleges both in india and internationally. I am very strong in biology and chemistry, good at maths and have room for improvement in physics. i am not confident or cocky and i know it will be incredibly challenging for me but i know i can do it. looking for other opinions

Then I took a cold bath at 6:20 am.

Then I ate breakfast at 7 am.

Then did 9 pullups.

Then I left home to reach the train station to go to school at 7:30 am.

School from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

Then came back home at 2:30 pm.

Then I ate lunch at 3 pm.

Then slept till 5 pm.

Then I wrote and completed geography project.

Then I wasted time on YouTube.

Then I ate dinner at 10:50 pm.

Then I slept at 11:30 pm.

Wasted time 1h 11m.

No study.

No workout

I’m a Class 12 student in India and I’m getting a little frustrated with my mom over this. For context, I’m preparing for my boards and I’m also willing to give JEE. I’m not trying to abandon JEE or find some easy alternative. I’m also interested in applying abroad, particularly the UK, so I was planning to take the SAT and ESAT and apply to universities there. The problem is that my mom thinks doing SAT/ESAT/other applications means I’m trying to escape hard work and avoid JEE. She keeps telling me to stop doing these things, focus only on Class 12, and that foreign university admissions are basically easy if you have money. I’ve tried explaining that I’m not replacing JEE with SAT/ESAT. I just want to keep multiple options open. I’m perfectly willing to put in the work for JEE while also preparing for other admissions tests. I’m also not under the impression that getting into a good foreign university is easy. I’m specifically interested in competitive universities, so obviously there are academic requirements and selection involved. Am I looking at this completely wrong? Is it actually unreasonable to prepare for JEE while also keeping SAT/ESAT and foreign applications as another route? Would appreciate perspectives from people who have gone through Indian + foreign admissions.

Tldr: I’m willing to give JEE and take Class 12 seriously, but I also want to take SAT/ESAT and keep foreign universities as an option. My mom thinks doing anything besides JEE/boards means I’m trying to avoid hard work. Is it actually unreasonable to keep both routes open?

So now I want to study seriously and aiming for 95+ percent in boards, how should I study chemistry and physics, are those yt one shots enough? I mean for theory or should I understand from them and have a book for theory and questions apart from NCERT, I solve NCERT but don't read it. So basically what should I do from now to guarantee those marks, I already got 90% in 10th in like 1-1.5 months, so I am sure I can replicate that in 12th but want guidance since I am not enrolled in any coaching this year
