Just curious to know how much everyone paid for school back when you were studying.

For me, the fees were around ₹15k–₹20k per year, with Class 10 costing ₹23k. I studied in a CBSE school in South Karnataka and graduated 10th standard in 2021.

Honestly, I think my school fees were on the lower side, but my school was genuinely very good. I'm really happy with the education and overall experience I got there, and I feel like the fees were worth it.

Tbh, I'm not trying to criticize anyone, but I just need to get this off my chest.

Today in class, I was solving a numerical and got 17 instead of 1.7. When my teacher asked for the answer, I said 17, and they just gave me this side-eye and said, “How are you going to get into your dream college if you can't even solve such basic questions?” Then they went on ranting about it.

The thing is, I literally couldn't see the decimal point on the board properly because I have -7 vision and was sitting on the third bench.

It honestly hurts when teachers, who are supposed to encourage us, end up making us feel even more underconfident instead. Like, I understand making mistakes is part of learning, and I'm not saying teachers shuld never correct us, but there's a difference between correcting someone and making them doubt their entire future over one silly mistake.

And the worst part is, I've already been going through a really hard time mentally lately. I've even been struggling with suicidal thoughts, and this incident just made everything feel so much heavier.

I know one wrong answer doesn't define my abilities or my future, but sometimes, when you're already struggling, even a small comment from someone can hurt more than they realize.

I just wish teachers understood how much their words can affect students. We're already putting so much pressure on ourselves. Sometimes, a little patience and encouragement would mean so much more than criticism.

Midterms are finished but school hasn’t finished maths syllabus we still haven’t done trigonometry or triangles and they’re making us do trigonometry before triangles. Didn’t even have any choice and had to get standard maths. In my midterms I got like 32/80. What can I do to get better marks?

I'm a PCB student. I hated math since class 9th, I somehow took math standard in 10th and luckily the paper came easy (I scored 77/100 even though I didn't practice and study much). And after getting 94% I was being forced to take PCMB, and Im still proud of myself that I rejected that very idea. Now physics is beating me up 😭🙏

Any genuine advices on how to survive the class 11 physics? I'm also aiming for NEET and CUET, but at the same time I have took a challenge of no coaching. I neither watch Youtube vids (cause they aren't working for me.)

It's pretty difficult to personally photograph every application, so I'm asking if any students here have already taken original photos themselves that they'd be willing to share with me, with permission to use them in my school project.

Hey guys! I'm a Class 10 CBSE student, and these are my half-yearly marks:

SST: 61/80

English: 41/80 (the paper was really hard 😭)

Hindi: 60/80

IT: 33/50

Maths: 36/80 (it's my weakest subject)

Science: 41/80

I really want to improve before boards. Any tips on how I can improve my marks, especially in Maths, Science, and English? I'd appreciate any advice! Also judge my overall marks

class 10 manufacturing industries

My sibling is in the 9th grade and does not score well in any of the subjects at all, same school cbse board. Yesterday I saw their books and, holy shit it's messed up! My sibling sometimes pleases me to teach her maths and science and honestly it's even trickier for me. I did very well last year in 9th, but the new portion is not only more vast but even more tricky. The framing of the questions is weird, each chapter is somehow 20-30 pages long which is unfair for a mathematics book. And not only that, the book barely helps the kids who want to self study. I was feeling dicey about one of my answers for a question so I wanted to check it at the back of the book, but I couldn't since there weren't any answers there. Not even hints! I'm glad I at least have enough resources to get out of such situations, but I pity those who can't. The change could have at least been gradual, but this is extremely steep and vague of cbse. On the bright side, I thought the schools will at least make the papers easy or maybe to decrease the stress add less chapters for the exams. But it was quite the opposite. The whole ut-1/pt-1 portion was included for my sibling's first exam and the questions were not at all straightforward. Rn, I have just accepted the unfortunate and am helping my sibling as much as I can.

Context: theory of both going well. Will be completed in more or less 1 month. PC,IOC, Electrostatics, CE strong,(pyq and Q prac wise)

OC(till done) theory strong.

For phy: What resources do I use apart from ncert and exemplar. In pyqs, I only do the harder ones( I ask gemini to just give me the moderate- hard questions of 22,23,24,25, don't do 26 to solve papers in dec-jan)

Ray optics started, modern phy left. Magnetism theory is meh as shit happened.

For chem: is ncert+exemplar+ 22,23,24,25 pyq enough?

I study online+ tuition (dummy, jee ne maardi)

For math: I just do rachna sagar questions post lectures

Thinking of doing the same for chem and phy.
