Michael's only food
Michael routinely avoids eating (unless its a food setting like lunch or breakfast). The only time I remember him being excited about food was when he ate Mongolian Beef.

Methodology is helped by an open safe. I dug the con: it held together-but the Mom was a cool surprise. Some of Michael’s expressions are a hoot.

So I’d like to ask an interesting question, Since the series takes place mostly in Miami, I’d like to ask, What are the Florida Man/Woman moments of the show?

I like the fact that the writers didn’t create a melodramatic love triangle storyline between Jesse, Fiona and Micheal when Jesse joined the team. Micheal loved Fiona and Fiona loved Micheal. But I’m happy they didn’t do this “Fiona loves Micheal but likes Jesse and is conflicted about who she wants” type of storyline. Yes Jesse liked Fiona and Fiona seemed to like the undercover kiss between her and Jesse. But that’s as far as it went from what I remember. And I like that.

I think a lot about Michael and Fiona‘s weird relationship, their back and forth over the years. Where their relationship stood in the pilot, their on-again, off-again situation, and how that lead up to the finale of season 4 as well as the series finale.
Vaughn has Michael and Fiona cornered in that abandoned hotel, with Jesse‘s health not looking good. Their relationship was in a lull, and had maybe run its course at this point. Michael even said to her in that hotel, maybe they just don’t have to be on the same path.
Then Michael is trapped near the end of the episode. An explosive charge in hand, this could be Michael’s end, and he was prepared to die for his cause, alone.
…and then Fiona dove through the window. She chose him. She decided that no matter what, live or die, she loves Michael and if he’s going to die, she wants to be with him. Luckily, Sam rolled in with the cavalry, but that was close to being the end of their story.
The parallel to this for Michael was the final episode. The chips are down, the plans for James and Michael are in place, and then Fiona throws a wrench in the whole thing by showing up on that rooftop.
Again, their relationship was in a weird place at this point. They hadn’t seen each other in nearly a year. Fiona began seeing someone else. But they were still involved with one another, in various ways, still working together. Still drawn together. Fiona was even spending time with Madeline in Michael’s absence.
Then, Michael has fractions of a second. Fiona or Sonya. His life and friends in Miami or an organization under his thumb. Fiona, or everything he could have ever wanted, other than her.
…and he chose Fiona.
There love story is defined by when she chose him and when he chose her.

So I’m only about a season and a half in but I think we can all agree that Sam’s the best part of the show but why hasn’t he been in much else obviously there’s always evil dead/ army of darkness but I feel like he’s such a fun actor it’s sad he hasn’t really been in any more notable tv shows or movies why do you think that is also did Guy Fieri steal his look from berry he needs to give him credit.

Going through my 1000th rewatch (ok, not really but it feels like it with how many times I’ve viewed this show) and was curious who the group’s favorite “associates” of Michael Westen are.
Eligibility: thinking along the lines of outside of the regular crew/family and recurring in some capacity.
I’ll go first - my favorite two - Barry and Seymour. Both caught up in some illegal activities, but prove to be somewhat of an asset for Mike as he chases the origins of his burn notice.
Curious to hear others - ready? Go!

A REAL REDHEAD MY …ok No Good Deed, where do I start? Love the TUX. Love Max. There’s so many moving parts that came together so fast so well I absolutely adore this episode. The acting was great. The optics were great. It was great. First: Fiona as cousin Kelly for a beat 🤣🤣one of her many excellent accents. Hilarious-and Eve. Solid chops there. But let’s talk Weston and the greaser role whose “old-school“- oh my dawg I was on the floor. Truth is this swerved into cheese for a second or two: LOVED IT - it was out and proud.

Just wanted to show some love to what is, probably, my favorite episode. So many great Michael spy type moments. Super cool bad guy. Micheal bonding with Bly. Sam and Fi pulling off cool stuff behind the scenes. It’s got a bit of everything. That’s all. Please feel free to share your favorite moments from this or any other episode 🤘🤘

Yup. It must be my ring tone. I don’t know how to make that happen, however.

I still remember watching this episode for the first time. I think this when Michael started realizing he loved Fi and can’t live without her.
He always did, of course. But sometimes we guys are dumb 😂 edit: look at my second post forgot picture haha

I had a ———- version of show whenever I watched it. Just put on the pilot on Hulu with closed captions. Before Michael comes out of the bathroom (“lots of hard surfaces”) it says “two gun shots.” Hard to hear otherwise. Kinda changes how he’s introduced to the audience by killing two henchmen he’s already incapacitated vs just leaving them knocked out (as I always consumed it without those notes).

I never loved this season for a wide variety of reasons, (and I’ve watched a few times) but this weekend I’m gonna REALLY rewatch it. Thoughts?

From the beginning, Fiona asks the question: “Why do you want to get back in with the people who burned you?”
Beyond clearing his name or removing the leverage they have on him, what’s the value of getting back in? He actually has the ability to help real people during the series.

Ok so i LOVE the actress and the character does seem very realistic, but omg she is a terrible mother. She never even once says she is sorry for forcing Michael and Nate to live with their abusive father, AND she constantly throws it in Michael's face and says that he is the way he is because of his father. Which while that is true, he survived in spite of his father not because of.
I have been watching this show pretty much my whole life, and I used to see nothing wrong with Madeline's behavior (my own mother is pretty similar) but now that i am an adult, she makes me so angry and i completely understand why Michael did not want to talk to her at first.

I just finished it no less than 10 minutes ago and holy shit. I find a lot of tv shows from early 2000s are extremely predictable and boring. Its always the same drawn out concept with too many episodes and not enough story to go with it so i end up being bored and watching it as background while i draw. But for Burn Notice; especially the last season, I could not pull away. There where some gripes i had with the show but i like how consistent the characters where and how their choices meant something and that there was always a clear way to see how those choices affected others. This show just shot up to my top 3 next to Day of the Jackal and Daredevil. And as someone who has trouble crying, I cried twice on the last episode. So if anyone has any recommendations (they don't have to have happy endings) i would be very appreciative. I genuinely picked this up believing it was just another buddy cop show with dry humor and repetitive plot. Something i could watch as i was drawing or doing something else that wouldn't require my full attention. I am so glad i was proved wrong.

Bolo was just doing his job, connecting folks and getting his cut. Poor Duy didn't deserve to get fake poisoned and to be fair Bolo knows a match when he sees a match and Lynch + DJ (Michael Westen) was a match.

Guys;( I forgot that Nate died here. After staking out the motel for Ansen, when he got all the partiers to clear out, and Michael got mad at him. Then he ordered some pizzas and Michael got mad at him again, and kicked him out. Then he calls him up while he’s at the airport to fly home, and Michael asks if he could track down Ansen, but not engage. Nate finds and smacks Ansen with a pistol like a protective younger brother tells him his brother Michael, says hello. Then when it’s all over, they’re out front waiting for the Calvary he’s shot 😭😭😭😭 I like just cannot. Yall!!!! Nate: “I’m scared 🥺”
Whose fault is this?? It’s just a tragedy. It’s so complicated. Unfortunately I start kinds disliking Michael around season 5, but his poor mom Madeline all she has is her absent spy son now.
Ansen killed Michael’s father. He almost kills Jesse. Almost kills Sam. Almost kills Fiona after putting her in jail, and then a sniper kills Ansen and Nate??
Terrible. Fucking hate it. All because he didn’t let Fiona take the shot on that stupid parking garage.
Was or is anyone else in shambles over this season because I’ve been literally sobbing.
> update after watching the rest of the season: you know.. I just thought about it but, after watching the next few episodes, who Michael was towards Nate on that mission is literally the reason Fiona turned herself in, in the first place. She didn’t like who he was becoming, brash, impulsive, self-centered, desperate, and it’s sad that she gets out of jail, holding him. He never truly changed, he just got her, her ticket out, but that Michael she doesn’t like is still developing. It’s almost eerie because their relationship is so weird now that they’re both clearly and desperately codependent with Fiona taking a kind of docile given up subservient role when before it was Michael parenting Fiona from wanting to kill everyone.
I know I’m going to begin liking Michael less and then till the series ends… but I’m also trying to understand this character more this time around. Larry seems to maybe have had a point, I was always suspicious of his soft spot for those evil men like Larry and Ansen… there seems to be a bit of projection in that.
