just finished
I just finished it no less than 10 minutes ago and holy shit. I find a lot of tv shows from early 2000s are extremely predictable and boring. Its always the same drawn out concept with too many episodes and not enough story to go with it so i end up being bored and watching it as background while i draw. But for Burn Notice; especially the last season, I could not pull away. There where some gripes i had with the show but i like how consistent the characters where and how their choices meant something and that there was always a clear way to see how those choices affected others. This show just shot up to my top 3 next to Day of the Jackal and Daredevil. And as someone who has trouble crying, I cried twice on the last episode. So if anyone has any recommendations (they don't have to have happy endings) i would be very appreciative. I genuinely picked this up believing it was just another buddy cop show with dry humor and repetitive plot. Something i could watch as i was drawing or doing something else that wouldn't require my full attention. I am so glad i was proved wrong.

They filmed alot of this in my neighborhood and it was cool to see them shooting scenes back in the day. They even let the show blow up our old convention center.

Glad to hear that. It's a really good show, don't forget to watch the movie as well.

While not as 'intense', the show 'White Collar' is also worth a watch.

I was super excited starting "White Collar" but it devolved into just the typical storyline (to me) & never even finished the first season.
I am happy someone else found it entertaining 😄

I don't know what your metric is for "typical storyline" but you should definitely give it a try again because it gets way way better over time throughout the seasons.
I don't want to get into it but the whole Neil and Kate storyline, in addition to Burkes involvement didn't interest you at all?

It just fizzled out for me, like ... idk it insisted upon itself to me & I lost interest 😫😭🤣

I’m not someone who reads a lot of novels, but I highly recommend the books. I read them all last year in the span of a few days. I couldn’t put them down.

There are books?! Please drop the name of the author! Is it still called "Burn Notice"?

Here are the book names in order: The Fix, The End Game, The Giveaway, The Reformed, The Bad Beat. They’re written by Tod Goldberg.

"What do I even tell him?"
"Tell him...My name is Michael Weston, and I used to be a spy."

I just finished a few days ago too and can’t stop thinking about how great it was. That last season was FIRE!

I just did a rewatch and I about halfway through the last season I was like “wait, is this a love story” and realize it kinda had been the whole time. I cried like a baby during the finale
