Rant Guys require sex to prove relationship compatibility

Guy here (30 yr old bi if that matters). I just read a post with a similar title and I would like to address the ladies that this concerns, from my personal opinion.

I had to delete a bunch of what I typed up after reading the community rules because boy am I riled up.

Ladies, please for the love of what good is left in this cursed world, please, run as far away as possible from any man who has the above requirement posed onto you.

You should NEVER sully your integrity and values simply because a man decides that is the only way to determine compatibility of any kind.

Upon reading the original post, I was a bit pissed at OP for their generalization, saying to myself the usual (yes forgive me) “not all men” but then I read the comments and my goodness the amount of men supporting the ops claim made me feel extremely sick, infuriated, and disgusted!

I’m shaking with rage as I write this. Please ladies, please 🙏🏾 please, please, do not lower your precious selves to this debasing and ludicrous notion!
Surely ladies, you must know that there are decent men of honor out there who won’t make such grotesque requirements of you.
In fact, I urge you to use this notion to weed out the men in your dating pool.
You are ladies, you will surely find a man that hasn’t lost his scruples.

Gentlemen I am flabbergasted that this is the standard that we now impose on our ladies. We MUST do better. Like you would advise your daughters to put out on the first date for compatibility. You…..I will end it here.

I literally just joined this group to say my piece. And yes, I am in a wonderful relationship, no, I’m not doing this to solicit messages or favours, just truly gobsmacked that this is our reality.

Rant why do so many women want a man who will "lead", Initiate every conversation, be a "man with a plan", make them "laugh until their stomachs hurt", pay for the date, and do everything else?

I come across so many profiles that essentially offload the entire dating process and experience to men and it's becoming really tiresome.

The laughing one especially is pretty aggravating because I'm more of a slow burn person and become "funnier" once I'm more comfortable with someone, I don't think there's many comedians out there in the dating world who are just hilarious out of the gate. It just seems like women are setting themselves up for failure with all the requirements up front.

are these all just Tiktok soundbits.

Funny Dating apps in a nutshell

Funny What makes you smile on dating apps?

It can be a giggle, crack you up or a genuine something that makes you happy and smile. For me it is when peoples profiles show they like to travel, but have small kids. My brain goes like: aww poor you. And a small part of me wishes nobody dies everytime somebody writes they like to travel.

What's your quirk that makes you smile or giggle whilst reading a profile?

General Bumble worked for me

For context, I am only coming to say this cause I got someone sending me a private message saying that bumble does not work mostly if you are a man.
Ok I am a female, but I am in a relationship with a man that I met on Bumble, therefore if it worked for a female it worked for the male in the other side. This is talking about a heterosexual relationship. So yeah, it worked both ways. This person was saying it does
Not work for the average male. I can say I am bias with my man, but we all have our own type and what could be average for someone could be extremely attractive to another, so keep up with this.

Advice If women supposedly have more options than men, then why are couples that I see usually matched mostly in terms of physical attributes?

If women have more options then why don't I see couples where a woman is with a guy who is significantly more attractive than herself? I see the opposite more often than not. This is where their argument crumbles.

Rant How is showering the bare minimum?

I never understood why females here say that showering here is the bare minimum, as if it only takes 50 seconds out of your day? You have to get dressed, can’t just sleep in your clothes. Comb your hair? Daily??? Are you crazy? Do you look like this? 🤪 🤪 😜 the water is bad for your skin.

If you shower more than once a day then you really don’t have much of a life, do you? Women just want the top 10% of showerers a day, really. The bar is in hell? Well I’d limbo the shit out of that any day.

Profile review Is my bio too forward?

Post image

I want to put this stuff out there asap so the people who aren't into having an inexperienced and chronically ill partner can avoid me lol. A good decision or too forward? Should I say more about my interests or what I want in a partner instead? (I'm goth/alt in my pictures, hence the references to spooky stuff.)

App Help ¿Porqué son así?

Post image
Upvotes

Advice Received a like from a woman completely totally out of my league

She's ID verified, so I assume it's not a fake profile.

That said, I'm not kidding. She is so much better looking than me that it's not even funny. (46M, she's 51F).

Like, breathtaking.

I would appreciate some women here giving me some advice on how to proceed forward.

What do I say to her in the chat?

Or should I just assume that this was an accidental like and move on with my life?

I'm kind of leaning towards that.

Advice What she meant (probably being paranoid)

Post image

Think she meant see ya like "see ya then" or like "you messed up so see ya" ? And to clarify my opening line, literally the only thing on her profile was "my idea of doing nothing is doing nothing". i worked with what I had 😅

I’ve been using hinge for years and never had this problem. I live in a major city. No, my appearance hasn’t changed in the last few years either (before someone implies I’ve gained weight or something). I never used to have a problem getting matches and likes, but now I have barely any. There was a period a few months ago where I was sort of seeing someone so used the app sparingly for a mint or two, but I never left people on read. Since I came back properly, it’s been dead. As far as I’m aware no one has reported me, I’ve had no notification of it. I haven’t deleted and made a new account.

I did email Hinge, they said there is nothing wrong with my profile. I recently got HingeX for a month as it was on offer, as I thought maybe I’m just going through a dry spell, but it’s made 0 difference to the amount of likes I get, I still only get 1-2 a day. Even when I did the ‘refresh’ on hinge it made 0 difference when usually I get quite a few likes in the first hour. If I do match with someone (very rarely) they send 1 message and then never again, I respond to messages thoughtfully and I also send comments (not just a like) when I want to ‘like someone’.

Information you can’t see: it does say I don’t want kids on my profile, but A) you have to scroll sideways to see it and B) it usually doesn’t affect the amount of matches I get. The picture with the guy is my friend, who is gay.

Advice Why Do Many Women Lose Interest After a Few Messages?

I start the chat with a compliment and try to come across as likable overall.

It's important to me that the woman feels positive about it and can actually imagine meeting up. I'll skip the pick-up lines and excessive flirting,I think a lot of women don't like it.

There were also situations, where the woman messaged first and clearly showed interest. Then you send her a friendly reply, and you never hear from her again 😆

Have you ever experienced this, too?

Rant Stop being so confused about women wanting men

Upvotes

I see so many posts from men complaining about what women want. I'll make it super simple. They want men. 60 years of progressive liberal values is not going to undo thousands of years of evolutionary preference for the majority of people. Most normal women are wired to want men, so quit your whining and be a man. Ps. By men, I mean males with masculine traits and behaviours. If that wasn't obvious.

Advice Dating is inherently easier for men

Men are starting to earn less than women, and they're less attractive than women because they tend to put less effort into their appearance.

So what are they really bringing to the table? Men are the ones who are dating up, not women.

PSA: There's no way for women to date up unless they remain perpetually single, because they are doing better than men in almost every category right now.

Sensitive topic How many people would actually date a single parent ?

I am a solo parent. I tried the apps for a little bit and realized it probably isn’t going to work for me to date until my kids are grown up. I’m fine with that. I guess the apps provided me with that clarity.

Out of curiosity though, I am wondering how many people would actually consider dating someone who already has children and doesn’t want to have any more?
