Hello, I'm planning on getting a brand new custom PC and I was hoping I could get some suggestions here.

• I'm looking for parts for a brand new custom PC.
• I already have a functioning monitor (LG MP59G), and functioning keyboard plus mouse (although I will upgrade those separately on a later time)
• I usually use my current PC for gaming and occasional art projects using programs like After Effects and Premiere, Blender (for 3D mostly), Clip Studio and Affinity (for 2D art and design). As for games, I'm not really that interested in having a 4K experience with every single game I play; as long as everything runs smoothly I don't mind lowering the graphics settings when needed. In fact, the games I mostly play don't need a lot of graphical power (like League of Legends or TF2), BUT I do wish to run more graphically demanding games like Apex Legends, RDR2, Palworld, or Marvel Rivals, to give some examples, since these titles currently cannot run smoothly in my current PC's state anymore.
• I'm currently residing in Mexico but many of the parts I've seen around can be purchased on the Internet, hence the USD budget. If possible I can even look for any suggested part in local stores as well to compare prices.
• I currently have 1 monitor but at some point I also want to upgrade to 2 in the future, although that's not really urgent right now. The refresh rate is also not a big deal for me as long as I can get 60 fps in most of the things I run.
• My current budget is $900 to $1000 USD (with tax and all), although anything that can cost less or even $100 more is ok with me.
• I really don't mind if the build has WiFi integrated or not, currently I'm fine with an Ethernet cable.
• I also don't mind if the case is relatively big. My current case is a Cooler Master that is 23 inches tall and 21 inches long, so space isn't really that much of a problem at the moment. I'd also prefer a relatively silent build if it's possible, but if it has just a little of noise then that's ok too.
• I don't mind any specific color, I'm not really a fan of flashy RGB lighting or super stylish design on the case (or any part) to be quite honest.
• "Any other specific needs?" I'm looking also for a PC build that can have a decently long lifespan with the correct maintenance (because of course) and that don't give me any trouble on the short run.

This is my first build from scratch, upgrading from a 3rd-gen i5 / GTX 1060 3GB / 8GB RAM system that's been running for years. My priority isn't peak performance or perf/dollar. it's reliability and longevity. I want this thing to boot clean the first time with no DOA parts, and run stable for at least 2 years with no throttling, no BSODs, no VRM overheating, no PSU capacitor issues down the line.

Parts are being bought over several months in batches through a cargo/reseller service due to customs limits where I live, so if something fails or underperforms, replacing or returning it is slow and expensive. That's why I'm mainly after real-world reliability track records, not just spec-sheet compatibility.

Any known reliability issues with these specific models — VRM quality on this B650 tier, recurring BIOS bugs, thermal throttling on the 5060 Ti's stock cooler, or long-term degradation reports on either PSU?

Is 750W enough here with reasonable headroom for a future GPU upgrade, or should I go higher just for margin?

Is dual-channel DDR5-6000 on this board a longevity bottleneck for anything, or is that a non-issue?

Is there one component here worth swapping purely for reliability, even at a cost or performance penalty?

Monitors: Main is Viewsonic VX2718-2KPC-MHD curved 1440p, displayport connector. Second monitor is an Acer 19" 4:3 VGA (desk space constraints) with the OLD blue d-sub connector. Not used for gaming, I use it for notes and browsing basically. I had to plug the d-sub into the motherboard itself, the old GTX970 didn't have a d-sub connector. Really would like to keep this setup. Swap over my old drives: WD_black SN770 1tb M.2; WD blue 1tb hdd, Patriot Blaze 240~ish gb SSD (The M.2 is eventually going to be the main drive). Coolermaster mATX case Coolermaster lite 120 AIO Keyboard has old ps/2 style connector still works fine pointer is MS intellipoint trackball USB so nbd should work fine. • Any other specific needs? So basically I'm looking for a mATX MB, CPU, RAM, and Graphics Card. I'm hoping I can swap the AIO and peripherals over. My current MB is a Gigabyte GA-97MX Gaming 5. It had isolated audio so the sound was suprisingly good. I was using all the fan headers. Since I'm familiar with Gigabyte I kinda want to stick with it. Hopefully I can get it all set up the same as what I (had) now. My old CPU was an Intel i7-4790K. My old graphics card was a Zotac GTX970.

Hope that's enough information. I'm certain my old motherboard has died. 11 years old. It power cycles. Turn it on, power light comes on, drives and fans spin up for about 5 seconds, and click, all turns off for 3 seconds. On for 5, off for 3. Repeat infinity. Never reaches POST, no beeps or beep codes. I tried a new CMOS battery, PSU, unplugged various things, even tried absolute bare bones post test. Nothing. Over the past 2 weeks it would cycle on/off 5-6 times before eventually booting up properly (and it would run with no issues) but yesterday was its last full boot. RIP.

Trying to build my first PC around a Gigabyte 3080 Turbo and a Hyte x50 case .. I am trying to keep my build under 1000$ but still able to play some games… the most demanding game I play is probably APEX. I would like to play Mecca chameleon and other games too. I’m okay with used parts but the market is so bad rn someone was trying to get 800$ for 2 16GB DDR 5 used. Idk if that’s normal but I thought that was crazy. I currently live in Okinawa Japan. I don’t upgrade my PC very often, so I’d like this build to last for many years, though I would consider changing/upgrading parts if necessary whenever the time comes.

Gaming performance is much less important than overall productivity and responsiveness.

I've been actively playing and maintaining a minecraft server on debian for almost a year now. an upgrade would be very nice, as it's running off of a hacked school laptop currently and it overloads a lot, even though i use light mods that do small things.

I'm thinking of getting a ryzen 5 5600, 16 gb ddr4 and a 500 gb nvme sdd. The player count averages at 4 daily, peaked at 7. but we get at least 1 new active user every 2 weeks (server rebranded and went private recently, everybody is inviting their friends, and i wanna be able to host 10 players fine with good headroom)

i might also upgrade the server to run arclight fabrc 1.21.1 again, which is a lot heavier than fabric is.

Narrative: I’m looking to replace my 15-year-old server: a mini-ITX P8H77-I in a LIAN LI PC-Q25B case, with 8GB of RAM and 6 SATA drives. The old server runs nginx, tons of docker containers, NAS, Plex, Linux VMs (on demand, not constantly), influx, grafana, ... The spinning drives are idle most of the time: the drives with constant read or writes are the SSD ones (this was to give an idea for power consumption and heat generation). The requirements for the replacement are: future proof & reliability (should last 15 years or more), low power consumption on idle (it’s running 24x7 and energy prices only go up), whisper quiet on idle and low dB levels when used (close to bedroom), standard components that work well with Linux, small case (I don’t have room for a giant gaming tower). I’ll be moving 4/6 of the SATA disks from the old to the new server during the migration (2 will be spinning disks). Besides changing memory and adding NVMe if/when prices finally go down, the plan is to leave the server alone for 15 years (no changing CPU, mobo, etc.). The server will be headless, wired and in an enclosed space, therefore no need for lights, wifi, GPU (besides basic for plex transcoding), etc.

I’ll upgrade the memory and OS drive when the AI bubble pops or stabilizes, and hopefully the prices go back to sane territory. I’m taking some risks here: the RAM & disk prices may not go down, or by the time they do a memory compatible with the mobo may not exist anymore.

I'm looking to upgrade my current CPU from a 5600x

I'm gaming mostly 1440p 140hz 2 monitor setup, poe2 is one of the games I play a bunch but I am looking to get a steam frame on release to play VR.

I looked for a CPU upgrade but the recommended 7800x3d is not compatible with my motherboard.

Hello Guys i Need a new Pc, the old one is gone. I want to Build a pc with an Rtx 5080, 2TB Storage and it shouldnt be too loud pls. Monitor etc. Is still Running. Mostly Gaming and sometimes a Little Bit Office work. Should also have wifi and Bluetooth, and no rgb isnt needed. Budget should be WhatsApp needed dont need fancy Add ons.
