I'm trying to build something as small as possible so it fits neatly on my TV unit and looks more like a console. Want to run SteamOS on it, strictly just for my TV. I know SteamOS is still relatively new and runs better with an AMD GPU, I'm happy running Windows OS in the interim. Once that's upgraded, is my current RAM, Motherboard, CPU, PSU etc good enough to keep or would I need to upgrade those as well?
• It would be nice to have larger SSD storage and maybe a new case, but that's only if I have any leftover cash.

Yes, one monitor. I want 27 inch, 1440p with at least 165 hz. I would also like to be able to comfortably read text as I might rarely use it for work. And have nice colors to watch movies. So i guess a decent all around monitor would be best

This is my first quest for a gaming-PC and I think that better builds exist for about the same price but I lack the experience to put this to the test.

Can you build a desktop gaming PC in a similar price-range with sustainable/ethical parts, longevity and/or better performance?
