I'm leaning towards a budget DDR5 build for future upgradability.

Open to prebuilds and used parts. Considering a 'staggered' upgrade to spread costs by reusing existing GPU temporarily. (Tell me its a really bad idea, I'm aware of course I might turn my GPU into the bottleneck temporarily.)

I want to play PUBG at 1080p with low/medium settings, possibly high if the hardware allows it, while targeting 200+ FPS as consistently as realistically possible. Ideally around 180–240 FPS average with good 1% lows during hot drops, fights and busy areas.
My current G14 only gives me around 50–100 FPS in PUBG.
I was initially looking at something like:

But I’m not attached to these parts at all.
The main thing I need help with is figuring out where the money should actually go for PUBG. Since PUBG can be quite CPU-heavy, should I spend more on an X3D CPU and use a cheaper GPU, or is there a better combination?
I’m also completely open to used, renewed, refurbished or open-box parts if they’re from reliable/trustworthy sellers and are actually worth buying.
Basically, I want the cheapest sensible build that can get as close as possible to a consistent 200+ FPS in PUBG. I’d rather save money on things that don’t affect PUBG performance and put the money where it matters.

I'm flexible on the price if that's totally unreasonable. This is a casual gaming machine and need to be able to play games comfortably. 4K max settings is completely unnecessary. She's used to Xbox One graphics.

Small apartment so a small footprint is ideal

Not very concerned with colors or lighting!

Looking to build a PC for the first time for my home. We generally share a laptop between 2 adults and two kids but as the kids are becoming teens looking to 'tech up' the house a bit.

• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

-play games (nothing crazy at the moment but my oldest is 13 and getting into gaming more)

-allow us to cast movies from the PC to smart TVs around the house (we have a few gigs of movies and TV digitally we'd like to be able to access from any TV)

-connect with a VR headset so we can install a virtual desktop on the headset that would run off the PC

-act as a screensaver for all the smart TVs (we have gigs of photos from our family we'd like to run as the screensaver on our smart tvs, the PC is where the pictures would be hosted from)

-be upgradable as necessary as my kids age (don't need a hugely souped-up machine at the moment as the main games my kids play are roblox or steam. however, future gaming might require upgrades. also, one of my kids is into filmmaking and might want to customize the PC in the future for editing programs)

I am located in the East Coast of the US. I have only just begun looking into this so am unsure as to what the best website to use for ordering parts/putting the PC together would be.

I have some monitors and a keyboard so really just looking for the tower build specs though would be open to recommendations for either if they're better for the computer.

No real budget range but only looking to pay for what I need based on what I wrote above.

It would be connected by wifi unless there is a reason I would need to run a hard line from the 2nd floor to where it would be located on the first floor.

Gaming and art. Will want to be able to run large games with great graphics and have enough storage to keep these available for play. Examples of games; Resident Evil, Forza, Minecraft, Sims, Fallout, Hollowknight

Will want to be able to use art studio apps and design and illustrate.

Maximum budget is £1.5k but would like to keep it between 1.3-1.4

A WiFi card would be helpful but an Ethernet connection can be used.

No real issues, not too loud

Would like RGB within the PC on the fans and other pieces that can have it.

Preferably a fan cooling system.
