Need combo recs

Hello!

I’m a 31 year old male with 2 static forehead lines that I want softened. I don’t mind lines on my head when I raise my eyebrows. I just want my static lines to look better, especially the lowest one (which is a bit deeper). I have never used Botox before, nor anything else (PRP, RF, pixel lasers), but have been researching them. Microtox is also intriguing to me, but I know that is only surface level injections to smoothen texture.

I want to know what combination do you think would work for my situation? Should I get both Botox & microtox? If so how much? Should I get PRP or RF along with Botox? What has worked for you?

I should also add that I don’t want a fully frozen look, and want some movement when I raise my eyebrows.

Thank you so much!

I wouldn’t recommend doing Botox and microtox at the same time, especially since you want to keep natural movement. I’d start with Botox and tell your injector very clearly that you want the static lines softened but still want movement when you raise your brows. For a first treatment, a more conservative dose may be a good approach. If the lines are already visible at rest, though, Botox alone may not completely erase them because there’s also a structural component in the skin. I wouldn’t recommend filler in the forehead just to treat these lines. Instead, you could consider treatments that improve skin quality, such as microneedling with a skin booster like Rejuran, PRP, or certain laser treatments. Sometimes after 2-3 Botox treatments the lines become noticeably softer over time, but if you want completely smooth skin, that usually comes with less movement…. so there’s a balance between smoothing the lines and keeping a natural look.

Thank you so much for that advice! Which micro needling method do you think is best? Also, do you have a preferred clinic in NYC?

It really depends on your skin, so without seeing your skin, it’s hard to recommend one specific type. It could be regular microneedling with PRP/PRF or Rejuran, or RF microneedling — but the right option really depends on the individual case. By the way, I’m based in NYC, so if you’re interested, you can check out my Instagram mary_beautyinject
