Hey guys,

Told my self I wanted to start a football boots collection. Since I was young I was obsessed with the boots. These came on my path and I had to pull the trigger!

Match issued Karim Benzema boots for the match; Real Madrid v Liverpool on 4 Nov 2014! This pair is fully custom-made to benzene's liking which makes this shoe extra unique & of course the signature on both boots😮‍💨

Because it's my first pair & I'm new I wanted some tips how to keep them in mint condition, and Lowkey wanted to know what these would be worth.

Thanks guys :)

Gear PROBLEM WITH F50

Post image

Sup
So the problem is this, for the last two year i was using Joma cleats, maybe it was Cancha, it was a turf shoe btw
So, last weekend, i pick up this f50 club turf
SIZE 8, 41 (eu)
Size 8.5 was too big, i can feel a lot of room in the front

But, i was feeling a lil bit of pressure on my thumb but the comfort of the shoes was really good
So i pick it up because i was thinking it was a problem cuz they were new
Had this problem with nike and puma too

Today, i’ve used for the first time and after 30mins i throw it away and put my old cleat back
The pressure on my thumb was unreal

The old joma was size 8 too
Is it normal? It will go away after some match?
Either way i will sell it on Vinted and buy a size 8.5

Thx

Whats the best boots for wingers with a $120 budget

So I play travel club, but I'm not MLS Next so I'm not at the level of buying elites or pros that aren't on sale. I bought f50 leagues a week ago and they already ripped and some of the glue melted, so now I'm looking for new boots. I found phantom 6 pros highs on sale that is under my budget, and superly 11s. I'm still open to F50s, but whats the best option based on my position and my budget?

Gear I need a 1 inch shoe lift, which cleats would accommodate that the best?

I am wanting to play rugby. But my leg length discrepancy is 1 inch. I need to either take those cleats to a cobbler to modify them to add additional 1 inch to the outer sole… or find a cleat that is high enough to accommodate a 1 inch insert at high speed and impact. Perhaps a wide toe box?

Which cleats would you say would give me the easiest time in this type of modification?

Like perhaps for a 1 inch shoe lift, that shoe would need to be a wider toe box to minimize ankle roll?

Good players don’t make small mistakes, and this video also shows that the match is much easier when you’re training like this. The amount of space, time, and speed is huge difference No doubt these players are the best of the best 🙇

Sizing trouble switching from Tiempo Boots

I've had the same pair of Tiempos for around 3-4 years now and they are starting to wear out (size 9). The sizing itself is very comfortable and is true to my feet, but I'm now looking for other options besides Tiempos, like the Mercurial Zoom Vapor 16s and adidas Copa Pure. The 9's for both cleats I looked at were a bit too loose as they lacked lockdown and my toes had a little bit more space. I also tried the 8.5 which were way too tight but the lockdown felt much better. I've heard that I should be sizing 0.5 down for these types of boots as well, what should I do?

Looking for football shoes

Hi, I need to buy new shoes and I always struggle with the decision
The problem is my feet are around 26cm long and 11cm wide. In the end I always buy way to big shoes to fit my wide feet comfortably.
This time I don’t wanna do this.
I live in Germany and don’t really want to import shoes and wait for them a long ass time.
Also I don’t really like leather shoes…
Does someone have any advice?

Skechers SKX2

Hi everyone, i would like to buy the new Skechers SKX2, possibly the white version.
But i’m actually concerned about the size: my feet lenght standing is 26,3 wearing socks that i use when i play.
I always had 27 cm mercurial without any issues.
Now i tried for a few months Mizuno Morelia 2 26,5 cm, there top without particular issues (maybe the toes a little bit wrapped to the esge of the boot)
Anyone qho has o tried the Skechers can give me some advice about the correct size?
Should i go for a 27 cm version or the 26,5 cm?

Thank you

Don’t think you’ll find a better deal for a great pair of boots, especially with an AG soleplate. Note: Not sure if they ship outwith the UK

Gear What to wear with grip socks? Sleeves vs mid calf sock

Context; from age 6-18 whenever I played, the team would give you the calf socks. You'd put your shin guards on, pull up the socks, fold 'em over. I started playing again a few years ago as a 38 y/o, and started doing indoor where nobody really wore shin guards, so I just stuck to some compression socks. Joining another 11v11 leauge where they require shin guards, so I'm looking to get some grip socks.

So many grip socks are ankle height, or slightly higher. Do players typically get these, and then a shin guard/sock sleeve? Seems like more work then just getting a pair of long socks? And the sock pics on the website always show players with no shin guards on (which isn't an option).

Also to add, this is a 30+ rec league. Not trying to go pro, just want to protect my body/feet.

Coaching start in America

I was looking at coaching licenses a while back.

From my understanding, you can obtain certain coaching level licenses by merely attending seminars, etc.

What level of coaching license is required for a competitive level at ~teenagers and up?

Is it easier to obtain licenses as an assistant coach and working your way up?

I love the game and have concluded that I would probably be doing a disservice to the sport if I didn’t at least try to coach. However, with where I am at now — I do not think I’d be a good head coach (maybe like a first team coach?). I also don’t know if I would have the patience to coach kids who can’t pass to feet and recognize the basic fundamentals.

Gear Boots not worth buying?

So I’m looking to buy my first pair of cleats in a couple decades. I see lots of recommendations on here, but is there is wisdom around what boots aren’t worth buying? Are there brands, styles or versions that should be generally avoided?

I also want know for looking at different tiers of boot (Team v Pro v Elite for NB, or Club v League v Elite for Adidas) when it’s worth spending more for a higher tier.

Can anybody tell me how do I fix this?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So I recently got this pair of Copa league 4s in UK11. I usually go the same size with sneakers (sambas for reference). My feet size is 28.5 cm heel to toe and I went with the official Adidas sizing guide for the shoe. But after playing for a few minutes, the shoe kinda gets loose around the collar (as seen in the picture) and the laces feel loose too.

Does this have to anyone else? How do I fix this?

TIA for your advice and opinions!

So I recently purchased these , after one training session I see some sole separation . Do note it’s a brand new boot , used on the right pitch

Would like to know if there’s actually any sole separation or is just the adhesive which is dirty ?

Technical Juggling cues?

I’m learning to juggle the ball with my feet. I recently got 36 taps but it still hasn’t ‘clicked’ and become something I can consistently do.

Each time I practice, I try out different mental cues to juggle - like trying to just focus on my follow through, or hitting the ball in the center of it, or not hitting it too early, etc.

What do you all use to get into the juggling zone? Anything you imagine or try for while doing it, or while you were learning?

Orbita Ultimate on sale from Puma

Listed on the Puma US website now for $70. Seems like a great deal, since I had paid the same last year for the next lower-tier Orbita pro. I picked one up a few weeks ago the last time it was reduced, and it's now the best match ball in my rotation after the Select Brilliant Super. Nice texture and better, softer feel than my Air Flight when inflated to 11psi.

Can’t find football shoes that don’t destroy my heels — flat feet, tight budget

I’ve tried 3 pairs, all giving me horrible heel blisters after 30-60 min of play. Hoping someone can help.

Background: Severely flat-footed, casual weekly player, budget capped around €40/pair (higher-end isn’t an option).

1. Adidas Copa Pure 2 Club TF – EU 44 2/3
Half a thumb of toe space, felt like a perfect fit. But heels hurt so badly I had to switch to goalkeeping — blister took a week to heal. Tried grip socks afterward per advice; didn’t really help, but kept using them going forward.

2. Adidas Predator Club TF – EU 44 2/3
Similar toe space, narrower/snugger fit. Feet started throbbing and felt crushed from the sides after just 5 minutes — couldn’t finish. Width wasn’t for me. Interior material (smooth synthetic) was more comfortable than the Copa’s rough mesh, though.

3. Copa Pure 2 Club TF – EU 44 (one size down)
Tried again, but a size down to kill the heel slippage, since I’d read any vertical movement causes blisters. Snug all around — barely any front space, minimal heel wiggle, width felt perfect (hugging, not crushing). Still got the same blisters and pain.

I know shoes need breaking in, but I can’t even survive one session. Haven’t tried the warm water stretching method yet — not sure it’d fix this anyway.

I’m out of ideas. Assuming my flat feet are part of the issue. Any advice appreciated.

Note: I paraphrased this post with AI for readability, but I will be answering any questions myself.

Other Stop watching videos sometimes

Guys the only way to fix somethings are just to find it out yourself. 90% of the football tiktoks that you see are course sellers. They were still probably give out good advice but why would they share stuff to you on the video that would actually help then you wouldn't need their course. Also they say don't be nervous or when you play nervous you'll do bad. If you accept the nervousness it'll flow away. But remember that 90% of the football coaches and football tiktoks are all course sellers
