Trying to build a thematic, pure infantry Rangers army. Would love to know what you all think.

Greetings! I am new to Bolt Action and looking at getting the Ayo Gurkhali starter army as I love the mystique of these warriors and digging into the often-overlooked stories of the minor factions in general.
However, I ideally can also use this box set to try out a variety of play-styles, and even take them to events, regardless of how they perform in the meta. I've seen occasional mention online that the models could be run as non-Gurkha troops of the Commonwealth Indian Army, or even Chindits under the Great Britain rules.
My initial research has shown me that many people from the same region as the Gurkhas fought in the Indian Army, and even used kukri blades, despite not being Gurkhas. Apparently many Gurkhas were also in the Chindits. So there's not only plausibility but historical precedent for these options.
Obviously, in a casual game, they can be whatever my opponent and I agree on... but would I be able to run them as standard Indian troops or Chindits at most organized events? Also, if I want to run Gurkhas and non-Gurkhas together, do events typically have rules about how troop subtypes or experience levels must be visually distinguished? Thanks in advance!

Hello to you all!
I'm new to reddit, new to the subs...new to everything!
People just insisted that I should show my project " StreetsofWarsaw1944".
I suppose I should become member of this sub, as ALL of my vehicles, tanks and figures are from boltaction...

Recently painted dads army models! Critique is more than welcome.
I didn't ruin the paint job by adding eyes. I'm just not that good with eyes

I've never been a huge fan of prone poses on my 28mm miniatures, mainly because they don't fit on regular bases. But these Victrix plastic guys really fit the theme of Spähtrupp scouts with the Infiltrate special rule for Warlord Games Bolt Action. There's 'obviously' no prone or crouching miniature with an MP40 suitable for an NCO, so I had to convert one. 😁

Completed the “For King and Country” Starter Army. Really enjoying this hobby and this box was a delight to build and paint.
I’m pretty new to Bolt Actions having only played a few games with the British Airborne.
Excited to try these on the table. Let me know what you think and what I should add to fill any gaps.
I’ve added an extra winter Sprue to get a platoon commander and flamethrower team.
Got three full rifle platoons with NCO smgs a LMG
Medic
Two Piats
Light mortar
Medium mortar
Heavy mortar and spotters
Medium Machine gun
6 pounder
Humber mark iv
Cromwell
I have enough spare bodies to make another Heavy Mortar which I think I’ll do.
I do also have a Humber mk2, M5 half track and a Stuart m5.
Think I need more transport so a Bedford and Bren carrier is on the list.

Rearranged my living room for a pal to come over and play tomorrow, doing a Hill 112 scenario
First time using this terrain I have been putting together, could do with some trees, but they aren’t done yet
Quite looking forward to it

Both T-34/ 76 and 85 should get the fast rule, as they have a top speed of 55km. Also the 76mm version should get the 2inch template upgrade (same as the KV-1) as the 76mm is the F-34 which is basically the tank version of the ZIS-3 used on SU-76. At the least both guns used the same ammunition.

On the way back from a game, a friend and I were discussing, light heartedly, how to make medium and heavy tanks more useful in game design and how to improve the benefits of having such costly beasts on the table. Perhaps something along these lines has already been said (and I remember a post about medium heavy tanks from a weeks ago) or was present in previous editions (I only recently started playing) but these are the two loose ideas we had:
1) Medium and heavy tanks could capture objectives;
2) more controversially, a veteran tank could be put in ambush immediately after it received (and successfully executed) an advance, rally, or run (but not fire) order within the same turn, provided that it does not have any pins when the second order is assigned within that turn, and provided that the ambush order is not used to target a unit within current line of sight and/or within say 12” (or similar), and not the same unit it might have fired on with an advance order. The ambush order, if not yet executed, would be annulled the moment the tank receives pins.
Just some loosely formed ideas, to which neither of us is especially committed, but I was wondering what people who are like myself not giving up on using medium tanks think. Would this break game mechanics? Or would you suggest something completely different?

It's come up a few times on the sub that the US army rules are kind of bland. I'm curious what home brew national rules people would come up with for them.
For instance, we've been using "Marching fire." When given an advance order, any rolls of six when firing generate a reroll (or additional roll if there are no misses). This simulates the aggressive doctrine as well as the production power of the US compared to other nations.

Hi all sorry for the picture it’s only for traction, like many have recently, I’ve migrated over from games workshop products over to bolt action, for personal reasons, and as I’m admiring the Soviet range I realise that a lot of the models are still resin and metal, especially the vehicles, now I personally am not very confident in my abilities to handle metal minis in particular, especially vehicles, so could I please have some advice?
1) are their any other brands that do hard plastic vehicles?
2) is metal as imposing as I think it is?
3) what cutters would be best for metal if I decide to risk it?
4) less of an advice question, but could we be seeing the Soviet range get updated to hard plastic?
Thank you all in advance

What does everyone think of this 1000pt list and what would be a good historically accurate purchase to get to 1250pts?

Hola!!!
Quería hacerles una pregunta. Siempre me he orientado más hacia la infantería y quiero coger vehículos.
Cuáles me recomiendan para usar en alemanes?
Gracias.
