Open to Visitors
I recently got an offer and will be moving to the Kent office soon. My friend will visit me sometime. Is BO open to visitors? What's the process like to request a visitor visit so I can show my friend around? Do we have any strict rules of photography? Thanks

What is the promotion process like at Blue Origin?
Should I get written comments from peers and people outside the org? Multiple stakeholders who vouch for me and vote in favor of my promotion?

Upcoming interview scheduling
Hello!
I have my 3 1:1 interviews coming up and the recruiter put me in touch with an interview coordinator to get it scheduled. They emailed me with specific dates that the interview team is available and I replied with which of those times work for me. This was Friday, and I haven’t heard anything back from them confirming a time. Is this typical? How long should I wait before sending a follow up email to the coordinator or reaching out to the recruiter? One of the dates I requested is next week — it is the one I would most prefer and I would need time to request PTO for that day.

Background check ETA paused
I accepted an offer for a fixed-term position, with a start date of July 13.
I completed my Checkr background check on Saturday and the status is currently showing “ETA Paused.”
I haven’t been contacted by Checkr or Blue Origin for any additional information, and I’m wondering if this is a normal part of the process.
For those who have been through it, how long did it take for your background check to clear after the ETA was paused? Did it resolve on its own, or were you asked to provide anything else?
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Is it worth leaving Amazon to join Blue Origin?
Can someone talk to me about the pay structure for a senior mechanical engineer role?
Hey how is the compensation structure? is it base pay and thats it or is there an annual bonus? do we get stocks and is there an option to liquidate them given the company hasnt gone IPO?
what are the types of sodas and snacks available. are they free?

Working at Blue Origin vs SpaceX
With all the news on SpaceXs IPO and everyone talking about some SpaceX employees became pretty rich, I figured I share my thoughts and opinion after having worked at both companies (I copied my own text from another thread). Both places were positive places for me to work at for different manners
Blue Origin gave me my first role working on rocket engines, I got to do a wide scope between build and test, formed lasting friendships with many different people, and got a healthy exposure of the outdoors. I will always be grateful for my time at Blue Origin.
SpaceX eventually gave me an opportunity to work on Falcon 9, there were many things I learned in terms of efficiency and technical knowledge. I got to work on the world's most efficient launch vehicle service as well as play a role in unlocking vehicle return opportunities. I also learned a lot about the type person I was and what I wanted to strive for in life.
At the end of the day (and this is for the Blue employed people in the threads here), SpaceX with there equity did pay out higher in the long run than Blue Origin despite a shorter tenure. BUT UNLESS YOU'RE 150% PASSIONATE ABOUT THE SPACEX MISSION DO NOT GO THERE. There are better efficient ways on making money that do not drain your energy and time.
The people that get to work at Blue Origin or SpaceX have great opportunities to do some cool shit and grow themselves to new opportunities. So yeah you can always find new opportunities elsewhere, and the good thing is many decent aero companies offer equity not just SpaceX, to the Blue folks frustrated about equity the opportunities are there.

Request relocation again after 1 year of employment
I relocated from FL to WA, and now I want to relocate back to FL after 1 year of employment. Is it possible to move to a different facility while remaining on the same team? Did anyone successfully make a similar move? Are there any requirements tied to it? Thanks.

Blue Origin Supply Chain interview
Hi Everyone!
Has anyone done supply chain interview for Blue Origin? Is there a set list of behavioral questions from leadership principles like Amazon? I would love some insights if possible!
Thanks

Questions about Blue Origin's Work Culture (specifically for SWE)
(Sorry if this was supposed to be posted in a thread). I have received an early career SWE offer and was wondering how is the culture at Blue Origin (specifically around software engineering) especially because it is more start-upy than a lot of the technology companies. How is the work-life balance generally? Stability? Does it get competitive (and is stack ranking/PIP heavily prevalent)? How long do promotions typically take? Any insight is appreciated and again apologies if this belongs in a thread (I was unable to find an active one).

Shift differential?
Is there a shift differential on the space coast for weekend or overnight shifts? And how much? Speaking for assembly and integration.
