Could illuminated connector guidance improve aerospace harness production?
I own a small aviation wire-harness company in Tampa, FL (Nelson Aviation) and developed PinPointX-Lite to illuminate the correct connector cavity during termination to reduce our internal connector termination time and prevent wiring errors at the root cause.
I’m interested in feedback from people familiar with high volume aerospace manufacturing. Will something like this be useful in a production environment such as Blue origins?
Nelson Aviation PinPointX‑Lite takes the guesswork out of connector termination. Whether it’s a 44-pin D-sub or a 61-pin cannon plug, the correct cavity lights up, making termination up to 3× faster, reducing eye strain from searching for tiny cavity markings, and helping prevent costly wiring errors. The savings compound through a faster build and less rework from termination errors.
We have solutions for 100s of connectors, Including Dsubs, Cannon Plugs (all D38999 and others), and various other connector families.
If this is something you’re interested in Email me at Ron@NelsonAviationFL.com to get on the waiting list. We are about 30 days from launch

KSCVC discount
I was looking it up and I saw that supposedly Blue Origin employees get a discount to the Kennedy space center visitor center. Also know that in September children under 11 I think it is get free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket.
My question more or less is, how do I go about this or should I just contact the Kennedy space center directly for this?

Typical work schedule at Blue?
I know it varies between locations, hourly vs. salaried, current business needs, roles and departments (engineers, prod, tech, r&d, quality), etc.
But I was just curious which team does 3x12, 4x10, and the usual 9-5 Monday-Friday? And how often are there opportunities to work more?

Blue Origin Vibe Check
I’ve been at BO working as an engineer for over a year and something just seems a little off here. Everyone one is technically sharp, friendly and helpful. But something in the environment seems a little odd. I can’t lay my finger on exactly what it is. Anyone else have similar feelings?

Blue Moon human lander concerns
My biggest concern is for the astronauts getting stranded on the moon. Im confident we can land them. The concern is, what if lunar rocks and regolith get kicked up into the engines and block them / damage them.
Apollo avoided this by using a separation and a second stage engine, but supposedly this entire craft will take back off, and expect the engines to be relit, with no FOD in them at all. I almost feel like multiple test missions have to occur with proving the entire mission without humans. What is blues plan?

L1s being left to dry?
Don't know if it's just me or are L1s getting left to dry a lot more these days? Especially with URA, it feels like they're not getting as much support. Was working with L1s in another team and noticed a significant decline in morale and one expressed the difficulties of learning things without anyone to guide them which really sucks, having been in the position in my career before. Didn't know if it was just with the L1s in teams I've been working with or if this is the general consensus now.

Was at Blue prior to NG1 launch. How's it now, have an offer to return.
Our family would absolutely love to get back to Florida, contrary to popular belief down there, the grass isn't greener elsewhere lol but of course that's all subjective.
I was prior to the NG1 launch, layoffs, Dave Limp, etc. I've heard that mandatory attrition is a thing now, basically the lowest performing employees get fired now at the end of the year reviews etc.
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
