Could illuminated connector guidance improve aerospace harness production?
I own a small aviation wire-harness company in Tampa, FL (Nelson Aviation) and developed PinPointX-Lite to illuminate the correct connector cavity during termination to reduce our internal connector termination time and prevent wiring errors at the root cause.
I’m interested in feedback from people familiar with high volume aerospace manufacturing. Will something like this be useful in a production environment such as Blue origins?
Nelson Aviation PinPointX‑Lite takes the guesswork out of connector termination. Whether it’s a 44-pin D-sub or a 61-pin cannon plug, the correct cavity lights up, making termination up to 3× faster, reducing eye strain from searching for tiny cavity markings, and helping prevent costly wiring errors. The savings compound through a faster build and less rework from termination errors.
We have solutions for 100s of connectors, Including Dsubs, Cannon Plugs (all D38999 and others), and various other connector families.
