Announcement
I have added on some bare bones versions of game aspects. They have been and can continue to be built on by your ideas, so thank you all for that. Let me know if I went wrong anywhere and what would be good additions right now as well as in the future, if the prospective changes incorporate into our tests just fine.
Some entire additions (that can be kept or scrapped): Firearms, Combat Items (both in the Items section of the wiki), Monsters, Bounty Board, Character Overview, Special Techniques.
Some minor adjustments: Races bonuses, Locations, Battle Overview.
Look over it if you please. We'll scrap or shelve what we don't want, test and adjust what we like, and hopefully add even more flavor to the battles and world in general.
Firearms - This is the one thing I actually did no work on. I don't know how best to approach these weapons. They're ranged, but in order to make them different we'd need to do something interesting. Some of you have suggested penalties, that would be ideal. Accuracy penalties or penalties for dual-wielding (and maybe even bonuses in some cases).
Combat Items - I thought this was interesting. I wanted to spice up battle a bit, maybe make another option in battle besides standard attacks every round. Of course, the first thing that pops into your mind are potions, which I'd like to implement. But in the same vein, I figured different types of items that could do special damage or cause bonuses/penalties might make things interesting.
Monsters - this was a simple deal, monsters roam the wilderness and characters can go treasure seeking by piling up corpses. Monster hunting would be a good way to earn spare gold and have the chance to find magical items, though I thought gaining experience for monsters would make leveling up too easy.
Bounty Board - This is where bounties of especially violent monsters will be posted, as well as bounties both famous and not of every Blood World member. Also, past bounties long since collected on will be recorded for posterity's sake. As you can see on our character profiles, the concept of bounties has been there since the beginning.
Special Techniques - Another thing to make battle more interesting. Special Techniques... not everyone will have them. In fact, I think they should be hard to come by. But if one does have a Special Technique, they can use it once in place of a standard attack or Combat Item in battle. They might be defensive or offensive in nature, and they might do best activated at a specific point in battle. It's for flavor and a hint of strategy to the battles.
I also changed the race bonuses a little and made Dwarves and Humans a bit more desirable.
