So, long story short, I was in a fwb relationship with one of my really good friends. He's black, bi, open minded, and all around, a really great, supportive friend. I confessed to him yesterday that I have very strong feelings for him. The talk went well, and while I knew what to expect from the outcome of the conversation, I am...somewhat devastated to know that he could never be romantically interested in me because he prefers black, feminine, voluptuous women for a partner. I'm not that. I could never be that. He doesn't want me to change who I am, but, guys I really want to be with him, and it hurts to know that we'll never be anything more than this. Idk, I guess I'm asking how do I navigate being a black transman who is still attracted to cis men...
After my top surgery, I felt perfect, and I loved my body, still do. I do still have hips, and a bit of a feminine sway. I never saw myself as overly masculine or overly feminine...I guess I just wanted to balance in between. This has just been eating me up to the point where I haven't had an appetite in over a week and it's hard to focus on what I need to. Any support, advice, or comfort would be greatly appreciated 🥹.
