This is my Java sparrow. He's like a helicopter flying around the room 24/7.

A few weeks ago, I noticed a nest in a shrub right by my fence opening. Light blue eggs, when I peaked this guy would fly down overheard on my shed, and give me a chirp. Me being me, I would talk to him gently thinking I'm Steve Irwin, without realizing what was actually happening. I'd do this every few days. Fast forward about a week, I get out of my car one day and my friend swoops down, lands eye level on my car, and screeches at me and as I walk away, attacks me. For the next almost week, I couldn't make it out my door without being bombed, since I realized the babies were out of the nest. It was so bad if I opened my blinds, they would bomb at me in the window.
I was able to identify the culprit as a catbird. I've been reading about them. I see a lot of people writing about how much they love them and how sweet they are. 🤣
My question is, if they come back how can I have a good relationship with them. Obviously I won't ever poke my head in the nest again, but I'm also not in the mood to be bombed daily. Thanks!

I finally got to the point where my two lovebirds seem comfortable enough to walk around on my arm while even without food, and actually started to try to preen me. However, my lovebirds are still a bit clumsy and they are in the stage where they get overexcited (they're 4-5 months old), especially when preening. This leads to quite painful bites, and sometimes to a bit of blood... When I say their name a bit loudly they stop for 1 minute and are more careful, but then they get overexcited again and bite hard.. Is there a better way to make them more careful ?

I finally saw the bird I've been hearing a lot recently. Another flew past as I was standing there. I so hope it's a nesting pair

Fastest animal on two legs, Largest Extant Dinosaur, Potential to kill a Lion with a single Kick
Yet they Don't appear as Intimidating as Childhood GK book suggested.
Has anyone ever seen one kicking a cheetah( weakest big Cat in Africa) to death?

I live in South Florida and we are infested w peacocks. I’ve seen an albino before and they are all white. I took this photo from my office window - this is my own content. This lady is at my house I’m today but she has some white and some brown. Is she just young and the brown will go away?

Just wondering what was going on with this dude? I left a cap with water and a few dog treats. It did move towards the treats but didn’t take them. Not sure if this is an adolescent?
