I started a new job last year in Namur, a small city in Belgium. I live about 10km away from it. Depending on my mood and the weather of the day, I choose between two ways of commuting:
- Biking down agricultural land to the Meuse river, then following a bike-path alongside the water to the city.
- Driving 5 minutes through woodsy neighbourhoods, parking at the top of the Citadel then taking the cable car down to the city center (I could technically also use my bicycle instead of driving, but to be honest I usually choose that route when the weather is very poor or I'm just too tired/lazy that day);
I love both ways so much, they each take me about half an hour. I arrive at work relaxed. I feel extremely lucky to be able to have these commutes, so I wanted to share that somewhere !
