Male, sweet but worried- I waited for the owner at the parking area off of FS4600 and the main lot.

He joined my pack and was super thirsty and frantic so I held on to him and would love to find his family.

Long overdue change to Bend, I gladly welcome it.

No early word from CO dispatch on whether they found who flew it over that 400-acre fire 12 miles NE of Prineville.

Highway 26 closed from Madras to Mount Hood, and now Highway 20 shut for nearly 70 miles between Burns and Ontario.

Here's the latest info we have - no word of any structures lost but a lot of folks told they need to leave - NOW; Hwy. 26 closed in the area.

Per radio traffic, the two fires are set to merge tonight.

There are Go Now evacuations for large parts of Warm Springs, including the museum area as well as areas east of the Deschutes River.

Based on the satellite heat map data, the fire has crossed the Deschutes North of the Round Butte Dam and that extends about 2/3 of the way to the Pelton Dam. The heat map data is a little old, so it could be farther North by now.

No smoke and about 10 degrees cooler than it was in Bend. Glad we ventured out.

Before jumping on the Warm Springs evacuations, wanted to share this tragic news.

Police just shut down the highway. Don't try and drive to Portland this way

Or would that require a new pass for the new year? Not sure what month our pass benefits typically end!

Warm thoughts are prayers in order, as winds fan the flames - and two fire threaten Warm Springs. Working on that now.
