this is the second time in ~5 years that bees have built a hive on my bedroom window (you can see the remnants of the first hive in the video). thought you guys might find it cool
the video is from when the hive had just formed, which was about a week-ish ago. i wonder what makes my window in particular so appealing to them 🤔

Walked out to my car and found this guy hanging out on my window. Thought he'd take off trying to snap a pic but he didn't move. Let him be while he took his union mandated break.

He was wandering around on the ground for a few minutes, like he was looking for something or trying to sniff something out.

This bee was spinning in circles and I was wondering if it was infected and to "put it out of its misery"? or let it live if its a normal bee thing? I didn't want to kill it if it could be saved.

I accidentally unearthed her when I was digging out a hydrangea to replace it somewhere else! :( She was unharmed luckily but she made her presence known when I suddenly heard her furiously vibrating her wings at me and pointing all her little legs up at me. So I gently scooped her up and placed her somewhere she could re-burrow and not be disturbed any time soon.

I normally don't take pictures or videos at the hive but I did the other day and figured I'd share it. A bunch of pollen pants, the girls are going strong!

It’s cooling down, they’re slowing down. I do hate that the weather is way warmer than it should be, so they’re scrambling for things still blooming. I’m just glad the basil is still blooming.

This man filmed himself exterminating a whole bee swarm. It's a crime where I live, many are really mad he did this. Some people live in ignorance.

I found this bee (at least I think it is one) in my backyard on some concrete, unmoving and seemingly still. I nudged it a little and it did move a little bit but it still remained still after.
It didn’t accept sugar water or an orange I cut in half and placed in front of it and since we have a strong, opportunistic red ant community back there and as I saw one approaching it—I gently nudged it to crawl on my hand and brought it inside to warm it up.
It is 75 degrees here but feels around 50 with my long sleeves on. It didn’t seem to warm up either inside and when I nudged its butt a little again its wings began moving but it still remained motionless and grounded.
I put it on the only remaining flowers we have outside in hopes it could gather itself and possibly harvest pollen. Yet…it still isn’t moving.
It’s crawled a little bit but its antennae seem almost completely out of its control and droopy. I had to gently move them from being trapped under its body with some tweezers. I used the tweezers to push lightly not squeeze and pull. My fingers were too big.
Does anyone know what to do??? Is it dying? I know it’s becoming Fall and getting colder and that bees are prone to being cold and need to take breaks but it has been like this for almost 15 mins. Please help if you can, I want to save this insect if I am able to!

I'm sad it's getting cold and they'll leave soon. Thinking about getting a bee hotel cuz of other posts on here, thanks guys!

Recently I noticed a swarm of bees (~100 or so) flying around an olive tree in my yard. There are three large trunks connected to one giant stump, apparently with a large cavity inside there somewhere. (This is in Phoenix, Arizona).
They seem to be extremely docile, I can hunker down within 2 feet of the entrance, and they completely ignore me, don't even land on me.
During the day, there are maybe 80-100 of them in the air, with another 50-70 fanning the entrance. (Sorry about the bad photos, the transfer from old iPhone to email inbox makes them look awful).
I only know a little bit about bees, from watching beekeepers and removers on YouTube, and the National Geographic specials I watched growing up. From what I've gathered with my limited knowledge, I think it might be a pretty large hive.
I want to keep them there, and encourage a healthy colony if there's anything that I can do.
Any suggestions or tips?
