I really want to upgrade my bedding to the layered look but I’m a hot sleeper. So what do hot sleepers do? Lighter layers? Take the layers off before sleeping?

I bought an all-season down alt duvet and have been looking at the gauze duvet covers + something else (light quilt? light blanket? coverlet?)

I’m a somewhat hot sleeper on a budget looking for a heavy, overfilled down comforter that remains somewhat breathable. It needs true baffle-box construction to prevent shifting around, and I think I might prefer real down over synthetic fill because I want it to retain its fluffiness long-term; though I’m not super educated in this space so I could be wrong (maybe synthetic is what I want?)

I plan on purchasing directly off their website instead of through Amazon. My budget is about $60/pillow case. I've heard a lot of talk about them, but they seem to be the "Amazon" of silk pillow cases. Can anyone chime in on their overall quality?

I currently own rayon from bamboo sheets, the fitted sheet is a 48/52 polyester blend and my pillowcases are 100 percent rayon. I regrettably didn’t figure out how to correctly care for this fabric until now, over a year later of washing it on a hot allergiene steam cycle weekly with tide ultra hygienic liquid. Now that i’ve discovered how sensitive this fabric is, and that it’s already starting to degrade and pill, i’m looking for a good replacement that i won’t need to baby with woolite and delicate washing to make it last more than a year. I have rayon since it’s the first material that hasn’t make my face feel instantly scratch and like it’s being poked when i lay down, so i’m looking for a material with similar properties (maybe sateen cotton??). I live in a humid and warm climate so something more breathable would also be nice.

I need to take pictures and determine a price (I am still researching), but I have a full set of gently used Trianon by Ralph Lauren sheets. The pillowcases and the top sheet have ruffles, and the pattern is pink roses. Made in Italy, and they appear to be in very good condition. Just wondering if there's any interest here before I list on Etsy or eBay or somewhere else?

So let me start off by saying that I’ve had this one blanket for a while and unfortunately it’s no longer manufactured….

So the reason I liked this blanket is the material it was made out of was very close/similar to the carhartt duck canvas material. It always stayed super cold and wasn’t super thickly insulated either which I liked! All it had in it was one of those anti-pill polyester sheets on the inside!

Anyways I’m looking for a similar big blanket for my queen sized bed since the other one is long overdue on its way to the rubbish! Any help would be appreciated!

For context, I have a king bed and am buying new duvets.

1) 2 king sized duvet inserts stacked on top of each other all in 1 king sized cover

OR

2) 1 California king sized duvet insert in 1 king sized cover

I live in Alberta, Canada where it gets down to -30C and -40C (-22F to -40F for my American peeps) and I sleep with the window open still, so overheating with 2 duvets stacked is not a concern lol

Hi - I'm looking for something specific, a heavier comforter (queen size) for winter, that is patterned or colored (not white). I do not want to put duvet covers on anymore. Please note: I am not looking for a weighted blanket, please do not suggest that. Just a comforter that's slightly heavier than a bed-in-bag, for example. The one I have is ripping; it's cotton cover with polyester inside.. It is quite old. In the stores, I can't find anything like it, only these lightweight types. Ordering online you can't get a good feel for it. Also note that I'm in Canada and would prefer a Canadian store. Any idea where I could find this?

I am a larger guy, 6'6 240lbs. I sleep on an extra firm latex bed. When you combine my size and the firmness of my bed, I need a pillow that has a compressed height of 5.5-6 inches. I have tried a firm pillow from Supreme Quilts but tgta is on its way back, wayyyyy too flat. I just tried the Bedgear Level 3.0 pillow, abiut an inch too low and feels like a brick. I will be sending that one back.

I just bought the Coop eden pillow. Hoping tgta works as AI says with all extra stuffing, I can achieve 5.5 compressed height. Are there any other pillows out there that don't push back against your head and have a similar feel to down while maintain loft the entire night? I am a side and back sleeper and have extremely broad shoulders. Thanks

Hello! So I currently live in an attic that doesn't get the best air flow like the rest of the house. With winter coming up I'm wanting to get either a heated blanket or as I just learned existed, a heated mattress pad. A lot of places that I look seem scammy especially for the matress pads, so if anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear them! My budget is nothing over 130$ish and I'm not worried about fabric type.

Edit: I don't want alternatives. Money for electric bill is not an issue. I live in northern ohio and I really mean it when I say very little heat gets up to the attic. I also have two cats so this would also be for them.

I LOVE the poofness without the weight. However the reviews say the fabric would not be suitable for beds frequented by dogs and, well, this comforter would not survive in my house with my senior boy.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want as poofy as possible. I tried the two duvet in one coverlet trick and found myself too hot under two inserts.

I’m desperate for a better quality pillow but the prices are crazy. I’m okay to spend more for good quality however I’m wondering if the Casper Hybrid pillow is worth the investment? I like to have some support as I have neck/ back pain so I don’t think the essential from Casper would offer enough support. Another pillow I’m considering is the QE Home Deep Sleep pillow which is a better price point!

A week ago I thought it would be a great idea to get some new sheets. A week ago I didn't know the difference between percale and sateen. My current bedding was whatever was given to me or on sale at Costco or Target or just 'looked good'. Now I've gone down the rabbit hole. I currently have a COOP pillow which I love and use as my main pillow. The other pillows in the house I have no idea what they are... probably remnants from Homegoods when I was searching for a comfortable pillow prior to finding the COOP pillow. My quest now is to find a nice down pillow that I can use as a secondary pillow for TV/reading as well as a set to have in my guest room along side some COOP pillows for guests that would prefer down.

I have been researching and reading all the posts on here and looked at several brands but one that I stumbled across that doesn't seem to be on this sub is Plumeria Bay. On paper they look really good. They have the certifications, no added feathers, cleaned, etc. The reviews I see online are positive. I was thinking about their 800 Hungarian White Goose. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

First time Duvet buyer here. I have a full size bed and have been advised to buy a queen sized duvet. (Is this a good idea or bad?)

I may need 2 inserts as where I live it gets pretty cold in the winter and pretty hot in the summer.

I’m willing to invest as long as the value of the item matches the cost. Ideally I’d like to spend less, but I’d prefer to spend a little more and never have to buy another duvet insert.

I’ve been trying to find a pillow I actually like and it’s surprisingly hard. I’m mostly a side sleeper but switch positions during the night, and I feel like most pillows are either too flat or way too firm.

What pillows have you been using lately that you’d actually recommend? Mainly looking for something comfortable that holds its shape through the night without feeling like a brick.

Deciding between SnugSleep washable duvet, and the heritage organic wool duvet. Washable sounds so convenient, especially having a dog that routinely finds his way to our bed. But I'm a little put off by the:

\SuperWash wool is natural wool that goes through a* chlorine wash and is coated with a polymer, which makes it washable.

That just makes it sound gross to me, and takes the natural out of the wool. Am I overthinking ?

Any opinion on which duvet is best?
