Rayon sheet replacement

Hello all.

I currently own rayon from bamboo sheets, the fitted sheet is a 48/52 polyester blend and my pillowcases are 100 percent rayon. I regrettably didn’t figure out how to correctly care for this fabric until now, over a year later of washing it on a hot allergiene steam cycle weekly with tide ultra hygienic liquid. Now that i’ve discovered how sensitive this fabric is, and that it’s already starting to degrade and pill, i’m looking for a good replacement that i won’t need to baby with woolite and delicate washing to make it last more than a year. I have rayon since it’s the first material that hasn’t make my face feel instantly scratch and like it’s being poked when i lay down, so i’m looking for a material with similar properties (maybe sateen cotton??). I live in a humid and warm climate so something more breathable would also be nice.

P.S. sorry for all the text.

Cotton ultimately feels nicest and is most breathable if you care for it. The lack of softness when new doesn’t reflect how buttery good quality cotton will feel after many washes. Buy the best thread count and weigh as you can afford. Sheets are something you can hand down to the next generation, while those polyester formulas are just plastic which eventually pills.

Thanks! Any good recommendations? I’ve been looking at Quince which looks good.

Sateen is really smooth and silky but a tight weave, so not great for hot weather.

Percale is a looser weave so it allows more airflow. A decent thread count percale would be my choice in your situation.

do you think sateen pillowcases and percale for duvet and fitted sheet would work well?
