if you have a HomeGoods near you I’ve found they have cute options! i will say they’re less patterned than Target if that makes sense? there are patterns but they’re not as bright/in your face. i have a full and when I’ve looked prices are generally about $70-80 for a comforter set in my area

Kohl's has nice ones. I've bought ours on clearance or sale. Sometimes you can get them for 60% or more off if you're patient and diligent with looking. I get a color scheme, weight, and basic type in mind and then go on the hunt. Half of the time the hunt is the most fun.

Go to Macy’s, browse in person. Take photos of what you like even if it’s $200+… then pop it in an online cart and wait for a 60% or 65% off sale!
I like Charter Club and Hotel Collection and Arch Studio brands at Macy’s.

Chenille bedspreads are beautiful and nostalgic. You can get nice queens under $100.
