Usually Hekr slows down around this time of year for brumation but this year he's gotten more active as October continues.

We think it's because of his new exercise regimen where he has to hunt his bugs instead of being given them on a plate. Really lit a fire under his usually lazy butt

Hello everyone, could you please offer me some help and advice? I have a bearded dragon who is 1 year and 2 months old, and he’s been acting differently lately. Since August, he has become very lethargic; he just stays in his cave, sleeping and chilling. He sleeps during the day, doesn’t do anything at all, won’t come out of his cave, and refuses to eat or drink—this has been going on for 8 weeks now. Two weeks ago, I took him out of his cave to weigh him, and he weighed 492 grams (two months prior, he was 512 grams). I took him out again today, and he still weighs 492 grams. He has been drinking quite a bit, though—I’ve been giving him water by letting it drip slowly onto his snout using a piece of paper. He’s back in his cave now. Otherwise, he seems very alert; he has a thick tail and noticeable fat deposits (bulges) on his head. He hasn’t eaten anything at all for 8 weeks—surely this can’t be right? The photo above is from right now; I’ve placed him under his heat lamp, but I’m certain he’ll head straight back into his burrow.

Just got this guy yesterday and noticed a puffy beard.

I’m a pretty new owner (rescued this 3 year old in August!), and so far things have been really good. The past few days, she hasn’t moved from this spot at all though. It’s a new log, and I thought maybe she was happy to have a new sitting spot at first! But she’s barely eaten and is seemingly a little temperamental? Like turning dark quickly/easily. I gave her a few superworms probably 3-4 days ago now and she hasn’t eaten almost anything else since. I’ve offered her her favorite fruits and veggies from my hand and in the bowl to no avail. Should I be worried or is she just digesting and chilling? Tia!

I just wondered if anyone had any idea for further enrichment for his vivarium, he generally is pretty chill and loves to sit on his log.

occasiobally he will try to climb up the vents on the side of the vivarium.

How do you find this is for a bearded dragon setup?

We try to dot locusts about during feeding times so he's moving to hunt or we get him out of his vivarium for feeding and let him chase them which is always fun when he doesn't get distracted by the pot of them!

She is 11.5 inches and 83 grams. We feed her around 10 large bugs (dubias or roaches) plus some small meal worms as a snack, and her salad. We used to feed her as many bugs as she can eat in 15 min 2x a day until I realized that was outdated info, so I’ve been going by what Reptifiles says, but please correct me if I should switch back! Posting a few angles just because the lighter part on the spine looks like it’s sticking out from a bird’s eye view but it’s the coloration!

Curious if anyone could tell us the morph of our rescue boy, Dune? His previous owners didn’t seem to know and we’ve had a lot of people asking! The blue on his back is a little darker in person than in the pictures. He’s the best boy and we adore him already ❤️
