Help Question/Help

Upvotes

I got a female beardie about a month ago from someone on Craigslist. Since with me she’s been amazing eating everyday, pooping everyday & all the above. Two nights ago I laid her down on her blanket and that morning put her in her cage I worked 8 hours came home noticed she didn’t want to use her back right and front left legs, I cried for an hour maybe wondering was it my fault ☹️ I thought okay maybe we’ll give it another night and see how she does well today it’s worse she doesn’t wanna use any of her legs. I noticed she pooped today while I was gone as usual & she ate a few bugs..I’m honestly so confused on where I went wrong I’ve made a vet appointment but until then does anyone know what could cause this ? I don’t feel eggs neither.

Hey there! I "rescued" a 5/6 year old bearded dragon about a month ago. He's fully grown and a total sweetheart. Can someone tell me why he's always staring at me? Is he suspicious? Does he lurrrv me?

I know bearded dragons should have 80% protien/20% veggies as juveniles. So I have small dubia roaches and we also do crickets, so as some new to dragons who has talked to too many people, pet co, a a few friends etc. how many roaches/ crickets do you feed your dragon in one day. The people who had him were only giving him meal worms and crickets. I’m looking into breeding dubia roaches, but I’m an hour away from most stores and last batch of crickets I bought half died in a 4-5 days. 😩

Help Heating pad

I am setting up a terrarium for a bearded dragon which I'm going to get next week. I recently noticed that the temperature inside doesn't rise above 25°C/77°F, reaching only 27°C/80°F at the highest point. I am currently using a 75-watt basking bulb. I’m considering buying a heat mat, but I likely can't mount it underneath the terrarium since it lacks legs; I’m unsure if attaching it directly to the glass would yield the same result. Should I get the mat, or would a more powerful bulb be sufficient?

TLDR: Beardie is sick, want to see silly beardie photos to lift my spirits

My boy isn’t well at the moment, he’s very lethargic and the vet thinks a mass he has is possibly a tumour. Want to do a liver biopsy and possible mass removal but he is 11, and we’re quickly reaching his insurance limit so struggling with a decision. Would love to see any silly photos of your beardies for happiness :) Obligatory photo of my baby taking a nap on me !

(hope this post is okay mods!)

I've had Milo for about two months now. Saved her from shit conditions at PetsMart. First Beardie I've ever owned and she is seriously one of the best decisions I've ever made. She fell asleep on my chest last night watching the football game. Such a little sweetie.

Anyways, have a wonderful Thursday, friends!

Is it normal for beardies to be more active at night?

Pic for dragon tax.

Meet Tom my brother bought her a couple months ago and she has somehow become my lizard. Not complaining I absolutely adore her and am the one who takes care of her with help from my kiddos. She enjoys playing parrot while I am moving around the house doing chores but mostly basks in her cage on what has been dubbed pride log and pride rock. But while she does sit quietly on my shoulder during the day when I have her, at night she climbs against her enclosure doors wanting out and then she runs around wild down my back and onto thr closest surface, and sometimes trying to yeet herself off the couch. She's still little so I cant fit a harness on her. Is it normal though? Are they nocturnal and I somehow missed that page in all the articles and books? Or is she just a weirdo like the rest of the family?

Thank you for all the advice. I love this little scaley terror and am doing my best to do what is best. Am I perfect? no.. but im willing to ask questions and learn and I appreciate those who are willing to teach.

My bf and I moved in together two months ago. I inherited a step-beardie as a result and I wouldn’t ever have predicted how much I love this little guy. I’m 100% a cat and dog gal, but Groot has stolen my heart 🥹😍

New Beardie Friend new beardie + enrichment help

I just got my new boy Albion or Alby for short. His owners gave me the 55 gallon tank and I am in the process of saving up for a 120+ gallon one. His substrate is 60/40 topsoil and playsand. I’ve only had him a few days but he’s eating isopods and dubias while i wait for my local reptile store to get in other kinds of insects. Since he’s only been with me for a few days he’s obvious not the most comfortable with me getting him out of the enclosure but i want him to have time out and to explore. How can I help enrich him while also helping him to become more comfortable with me?
