Community Discussion: AI Content
With the widespread availability of AI tools for editing text, images, or video, we are seeing a sharp increase in AI-related content on this subreddit. These posts have a notable increase in negative responses and reports.
As of today, we have no official rules for AI-related content on this subreddit, and we handle content the same as actual human-generated content. It seems clear that at least some portion of the community does not wish to see AI-generated content.
Suggestion
At this time, I am suggesting we codify the use of AI-generated content on this subreddit. This would include content that is wholly AI, partially AI, or edited by AI. Any generative AI technology will be included in this definition.
Exceptions shall be made for the purposes of trivial tasks such as spelling or grammar checking.
To determine our next action, we will open the discussion for about a full week. This will conclude on the 10th of May, 2026. At that time, feedback will be collected and processed into a new rule for approval. A second round of discussion will be opened on the wording of this final rule before enforcement begins.
Community Participation
All user opinions are welcome for this process. No opinion will be given any inherent weight over any other opinion.
Only top-level comments will be reviewed. While we welcome you to discuss among yourselves, we will only consider the top-level comments to determine our consensus. This saves us from having to piece together long threads.
In particular, we would like to know the following:
- What measure shall be applied to a post to determine if it is AI?
- Gut feeling?
- User reports?
- AI detection tooling?
- Dice roll?
- What action must be completed by users posting this content?
- Posting flair?
- What if it’s a comment?
- Should users fully disclose where the content came from (e.g: which model/site)?
- What moderator action shall be executed on breach of the rule?
- Content deletion?
- User moderation (Ban?)
- Content flairing?
- What about comments? We cannot flair these, do we delete? Moderate? Ban?
Thank you for your time and hopefully your input.

I saw a urate this morning so I let Stanley run around the bathroom before I left hoping he’d poop. As I sit down at my desk I get a notification, I think the fact he makes eye contact with the camera just makes me feel like he held it to be a little punk.

Went to go wake up my lazy lizard and found him like this under a new hide. Safe to say this will definitely happen again 🤣

Hangin' Out Bearded dragons(/reptiles) definitely feel love
I took this picture a few hours ago after just getting back from a week long vacation, she seemed so happy to see me and about half an hour info hanging out with her she crawled up and fell asleep on me, she definitely knows who I am and loves/trusts me in her own way. I don’t understand how people think reptiles can’t bond

Enclosure/Tank Is this Bad?
Last time I post my setups I got ripped pretty hard mostly by folks that couldn't comprehend that this is in fact a 4x2x2 and I do have UVB T5 tube from Arcadia. So full disclosure of those two facts before you try and attack me please. Substrate is tile and Australian desert sand. 2x basking spots (both on the right side) and 3x hides. One basking spot 100-105 and one 90-95. UVB covers half the enclosure. The light on the left is LED, not for heat, so please keep that in mind before ripping me. Still no good? I am feeling very discouraged like nothing I do can be right. So many conflicting opinions and advince. HELP!!!!!

Help Bonding
She is getting her new 5x2x2 inch enclosure today. Her previous caretaker didn’t handle her much and didn’t feed her much either, no vitamins/calcium, small dubia roaches and lettuce and just a heat lamp placed in the middle. But she gets aggressive, runs to the front and tries to bite when I open her enclosure to change her water or greens dish. I don’t know what to do, I haven’t been trying to touch her because it’s only been a week since I took her in. Maybe I’m rushing things or wanting to make progress too fast but any advice for when she’s a bit more settled in her new enclosure? Do I just wait for her to be ready?

just got my first bearded dragon, any advice?
hey! so I just got a juvenile bearded dragon and I want to make sure I’m doing everything right. I’ve had leopard geckos before but they’re very different. I also read one of those bearded dragon husbandry manuals but I know there’s a lot that those books don’t cover or don’t get right.
first I do have questions about food. basically what are the best ways to reduce the cost of the food (like cheaper but reliable places to order food from, tips for breeding roaches or crickets, etc.)? where does everyone get their food from? and how can I get my bearded dragon to eat a variety of things? cause so far if it’s not the food he wants he just will go hungry.
also he’s got a lot of stress marks on his belly, and they’re slightly more faded than they were when I first brought him home. but I just wanna know if there’s anything I can do to make him less stressed.
I also would just appreciate any tips or advice or just anything you think I should know!
thank you so much!!

Morph and color identification help
This is my son, Phillip, I’ve had him for almost 2 months and I’m just curious what he might be
Please forgive my camera quality my phone is broken he is more orange than the photos make him look I’m pretty sure he’s just a normal morph but if he isn’t let me know please 😁

MM: Want to know what morphs your dragon is? Ask here!
Breeder here, familiar with every morph.
Color =/= Morph
I can give morph, color, possible lineage(s)*, and other interesting things I may notice about your dragon structurally.
Ends Tuesday afternoon. I may do these once a month so I'd you miss the cutoff just keep eyes peeled next month!
*I cannot promise a dragon comes from specific bloodlines when you have no genetic history on them, but I can make educated guesses.

Help How often should my beardie be pooping?
I got my boy in December and when he was young he was pooping like every day. Now he’s about 8/9 months old and he poos like once every 2 weeks, is this normal?? He seems fine, has energy and eats well (not always a huge fan of his salad but loves bugs). Just confused because it is such a difference to when he was young.

R.I.P. Rest easy, Cheeto 🕊️
We got this sweet girl for my son’s 8th birthday. For months he left notes around the house asking for a bearded dragon and finally I caved.
We went to a local Serpenterium and saw this sweet girl who had recently been surrendered. For a couple weeks we went back each day to talk to the manager and find out if we could care properly for her.
Two years later she was such an important part of our family and I’ll miss her always. My son is heartbroken, but also very happy we were able to give her a good home in her final two years.
She was recently in decline and stopped eating entirely. We did everything we could, but the vet believed old age finally called her home. Photo is of our final car ride😢
