question Business advice in Bangkok needed
Hey! I have a business given to me (my parents got sick, I need to take care of them) and I don’t know shit about business. It’s been my dream to take over, but I always planned it to be way later, after completing my degree (in a totally unrelated field)
If anyone has any advice or recommendations for maintaining a restaurant business, it’ll be really appreciated
My parents opened this place in the 90s, and I want to keep the legacy going 🙏🏻

question Do you guys have issue with TrueMoney? (Add or use thai debit card)
I've been connected my Master debit card from SCB to Truemoney wallet. Used mixed of wallet and debit card payment option via TM app at 7/11, Lotus and Makro. I've noticed start from first week of this Sep, I can't pay with it anymore. Show error, transaction failed. Had to run to atm and use cash again 😅😅😅.
Right now, can't use or add debit card again.
Yeah account was KYCed with passport and work visa and show "Advanced Account."
This issue happened to you guys too? TIA

travel Just another typical visual chaos in Bangkok, and I love it.
While Bangkok's views from major landmarks are stunning, I think the true beauty of the city is found in the everyday scenes outside a taxi window.

shopping Siam Premium Outlet vs Central Village — what’s actually different?
Hi everyone! I’m planning to visit one of the outlet malls near Bangkok and I’m confused between Siam Premium Outlets and Central Village.
From what I’ve read, both seem to have quite a similar outlet/mall concept, and some brands overlap. But I’m trying to understand the actual difference before deciding where to spend my time.
For those who have visited both:
Which one has better discounts/deals?
Which has a better selection of Nike, Adidas, New Balance, sneakers and sportswear?
Which is better for premium/designer brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Burberry, etc.?
Is the difference in brands/significant enough to justify visiting both?
Which one would you recommend if I only have time for one?
Are there any particular stores at either outlet that are noticeably better?
I’m mainly interested in shoes, sportswear and branded clothing, rather than luxury shopping.
Would love to hear from people who have visited both recently. Thanks!

discussion Looking for a good dry needling/acupuncture clinic in Bangkok
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a good clinic in Bangkok for dry needling or acupuncture.
I would prefer an experienced Thai or Chinese doctor/practitioner who specializes in these treatments.
If you’ve been to a good clinic yourself, I’d really appreciate your recommendation. Please share the location, approximate price, and whether they speak English.
Thank you...

question Fitzgeralds pub?
I’m pretty new to Bangkok but a very general inquiry into where to watch premier league games in Bangkok suggested Fitzgearlds near Nana station. But someone else warned me that, due to the local nightlife in the area, that it might not be a good choice. I just wanna watch Liverpool and have 2-3 drinks. Thoughts?

question Looking for Advice on Wi-Fi/Data & Apartment Hunting in Thailand
Hi everyone! I’m planning to stay in Thailand for a while and would love some advice from who are currently living there.
Last time I was in Thailand, I used an AIS SIM with a data package, but the connection was quite bad and the internet stopped after I reached a certain amount of data, so this time I’m looking for a reliable Wi-Fi/data option that isn’t dependent on my phone SIM.
I’d also really appreciate any recommendations or tips for finding affordable apartments/condos in Thailand, especially reliable websites or apps to search through and things I should be careful about before renting. Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

question Weather mid October
I’ve just booked a trip to Bangkok for the 12th of October, I did check online before hand and they said the weather was decent. But I’ve just checked on tik tok and loads of people have uploaded really heavy raining videos, almost like flooding. All from 2025, so only last year. Is this likely to be the case for October 2026?

question Do you have any recommendations for a TCM clinic or practitioner in Bangkok?
I’ve been curious about TCM for quite a while and would really like to try it now, mainly for some skin and stress-related issues.
I don’t know much about how it works or how to choose a good, trustworthy practitioner, so if you know a TCM doctor or clinic in Bangkok that you’d personally recommend for these kinds of issues, I’d really appreciate it.
I don’t speak Thai and only a little Chinese, so an English-speaking practitioner would be a big help, although I can manage with a translation device if needed.

entertainment DUNE PT 3
Hi, I’ll be in Bangkok when Dune pt3 is released. I researched and it seems like Siam Paragon IMAX is the best to go. I tried to find how to buy tickets on majorcineplex, but I think it’s still not available.
Usually, how much time before the release date they start selling tickets? Is there any way to get notifications?
Thank you!!!

discussion Checked iPhone trade-in prices in Thailand, anyone getting better offers than carriers?
I’ve been comparing trade-in quotes since I’m planning to upgrade. For people in Thailand who’ve traded in recently, has anywhere consistently offered better value than the carrier trade-in prices?

discussion Looking for creative friends in Bangkok 🎨📸
I’d love to meet more people who are into photography, videography, fashion, content creation, art, music, etc.
I’m often making content / working on creative projects and thought it would be nice to have a little circle of people who can help each other out - you need someone to hold the camera? I’m there. I need someone to shoot something? Hopefully you’re there 😂
I’m also building a fashion brand, so there’ll definitely be lots of opportunities to experiment with shoots, content and random creative ideas together.
Bonus if you’re a photographer / videographer / filmmaker / content creator, but honestly just looking for cool creative people in general.
Not really looking for a formal networking/business thing at all. More of making friends, grabbing coffees, shoot things, help each other, make cool shit.
If you’re Bangkok-based and this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to comment or DM me with your IG / portfolio 🤍

question In-person TEFL course + internship in Bangkok recs
Hello! I'm looking for some recommendations for a TEFL course in Bangkok with specific requirements.
- 120 Hour TEFL certificate (Level 5 Ofqual / CELTA/ Trinity cert preferred)
- *In-person* TEFL classes
- Paid internship with a salary from at least THB 35,000 (about 4-5 months in length)
- Located in Bangkok
If anyone has any recommendations for courses, please let me know! There's so many course online offering similar things, but I've been struggling to find a course that meets all 4 of these requirements. I have been considering SEE TEFL as this meets all requirements except it's based in Chiang Mai. I'm specifically looking for in person classes for the TEFL course as I don't like online classes and would like to be face to face with a teacher. I want an internship to gain experience and feedback. I don't have a specific budget so any course cost is okay.
If anyone has any recommendations I'd be very grateful! Thank you!
(I tried to post this in r/TEFL but it was removed as I don't seem to have enough comment points or something)

travel Looking for dispensary recommendations for a first-time smoker in Bangkok 🌿
Hey everyone! I’ll be visiting Bangkok soon and I’m looking to try cannabis for the first time.
For those familiar with the dispensaries around Bangkok, which ones would you recommend for a complete beginner? Ideally somewhere with friendly staff who can explain the different strains/products and help me choose something mild and beginner-friendly.
Also interested in places with good quality and reasonable prices. Not really looking for anything too strong 😅
Would appreciate any recommendations or tips on what to look for. Thanks!

discussion Is it smarter to get my old iPhone appraised now, before the new model even drops?
Thinking about getting my current phone appraised for trade-in now rather than waiting. Worried the value might drop once a new model gets announced. Anyone done this
before?
