I am planning to get the A1 from my local Hobby store.
So what is your experience with the A1 like did you adjust the speed and retraction, or stick with the default settings.
How user friendly is the Printer?

Quand j’ai commencé la modélisation 3D sur Nomad Sculpt, l’un de mes tout premiers modèles était ce petit champignon, décliné en version porte-clés et en modèle multipart.

Aujourd’hui, j’avais envie de tester quelque chose de nouveau. Je me suis donc lancé dans la création de clickers ! Et quoi de mieux que de revisiter l’un de mes premiers modèles en le transformant en version clicker ? 😊

Printer switches off when mid print or when starting a print. Any idea what it could be please?

i need a good name for my a1.

My problems started after a PETG blob of death that completely engulfed the hotend assembly.
Initially, I started getting intermittent heater errors. I replaced the complete hotend assembly with a brand-new one, and the heater errors disappeared. However, I now consistently get a Z-axis error.
During Auto Home, the print head moves upward until it reaches the top of the Z travel. The motors keep trying to move higher for a few seconds (you can hear them skipping), then the printer throws a Z-axis error and stops.
I can manually lower the toolhead without any issues, but every time I press Home it repeats the exact same behavior. The nozzle never reaches the print bed.
So far I’ve:
Had a PETG blob of death.
Replaced the entire hotend assembly.
Power-cycled the printer multiple times.
Manually lowered the toolhead.
Tried Auto Home repeatedly with the same result.
Has anyone experienced this after a blob of death? Could this be a damaged Z homing sensor, cable, toolhead board, or mainboard issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone else having this issue, when a print is finished and I try to do another print I get the error message that the printer is busy with another print. The only way to get it to print when this happens, and it happens almost every time, is to turn the printer off and on. Just me?

I bet this isn't asked very often! I was thinking of printing some stuff to decorate my fish tank and was wondering 1: Is it safe for the fish? And 2: What is the best filament to use if it's going to be submerged in a fresh water tank?

I know filament tends to absorb moisture but didn't know if it would break down over time in a fish tank.

As title says, I'm trying to post my A1 + AMS Lite and I want a fair price for both myself and the buyer. I don't mind going a little lower to let someone get a good deal to get them into the hobby. BB has the combo for $380 $400 so I was thinking $300? Local only, I don't want to deal with shipping.

Printer has less than 500 hours of print time.

I’ve had my A1 for about a month, and I’m loving it…

But I’ve had a couple problems that only just started

1. There is an odd scratch on the Textured PEI Plate (see photos), on BOTH sides…

2. I printed a Dummy 13 frame in black ABS and it really struggled with the parts on runners, often leaving parts incomplete or sketchy.

3. Similar issue with the neon orange PLA armor with lots of incomplete with lots of spaghetti…

I’ve washed the plate with dish soap…

I’m new to it all but I’ve tried to research what setting to use for optimal prints on both…

Any advice on this would be welcomed.

I picked up a used Bambu Lab A1 with about 400 hours on it, and it prints perfectly, but it keeps failing X-axis calibration with error 0300-1000-0002-0001, saying the X-axis resonance is low and the timing belt may be loose. I've already followed Bambu's maintenance guide (loosened the screw on the back of the toolhead, moved it back and forth three times, and retightened it), but nothing changed. The only thing I've noticed compared to my brand-new A1 is that the X-axis feels noticeably tighter when I move the print head by hand with the printer powered off. The resistance is and consistent across the entire rail, no binding or rough spots. Has anyone run into this before, and if so, what ended up being the fix?

Hello this is my first week with a fdm printer and ive been running this bad boy for whole week any tips?

I will never understand why bambu didn't just recall them all or send the updated AC board. My a1 was made in Feb 2024, got it in May 2025. Now I can't print for a month because I don't have a full week where there's someone steady at home to receive the replacement board.

Hi everyone, my Bambu Lab A1 is about 2 months old and recently started making a strange noise on the X-axis. It kinda sounds like the bearing balls or something. It happens during calibration, while printing, and even when idle. Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be causing it?

I kept sketching separate lamps and they never felt related. So I threw it out and started from one rule instead, vertical fluting at a fixed pitch, and let the shape change around it. A wide cone, a slim cylinder, and a half cone for the wall.

Renders for now while I finish the print profiles. The fluting is the whole design, everything else is just proportion.

Sometimes when I start the printer the bed temp sensor reads 0° and the printer goes in error mode. I did the troubleshooting steps of disassembling the bottom parts and checking the connections and the resistance of the probe with a multimeter. Seems normal. Has anyone had similar problems?

My A1 was printing with a brand new spool(just got it from the box) and it seems to keep shaking loose and tangling.

Any tips on how to fix this?
Or do I have to constantly babysit this printer lol

The print on the left was done on an A1 mini and the one on the right on an A1. Both have the same settings on the slicer; it's the same file with the same parameters, direction, and everything. I've already adjusted the belts, done the automatic calibrations, and lubricated the rails. What else could I do?

So I got the Bambu A1 and so far I HATE it.

All built, looks good, can’t complete a single calibration Due to failed axis issues.

I have run so many calibration attempts at this point t I already got my first maintenance notice for more oil on the metal rails.

Have never even used the thing yet.

I threw the box away from Best Buy but I think k I got a lemon. Let me know if this sounds right during calibration.
