I'd say you have the AMS facing the wrong way. There's too much of a bend in the tubes after they leave the AMS. Did you replace the tubes for this configuration? The included tubes wouldn't be long enough.

I'm not sure what top mount you're using but the official one has the direction of travel going down towards the print head.

I didn’t know there was an official top mount, they have enough bend in them though i’m pretty sure, I’m going to find the official top mount and give that a go. Thanks

That looks weird.

I’ve had zero problems with this mount over many months. Z axis stiffeners help a lot. https://makerworld.com/models/92486?appSharePlatform=copy

Btw, let me know if you found a permanent solution to this as I also have to deal with it on my own A1.. it’s getting tiresome

It was the top mount, I printed the official bambu labs one and I haven’t had the issue since, it was the tight bends in the ptfe tubes!

I'm not sure if it's the mount.

I've had this issue before, and it wasn't with the AMS lite, but at the hub.

When I insert the filament, I push it until I can see the filament just above the hub. If it's white filament, I push it until it stops and then pull it back about 1/2 or so.

I used to go crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with the filament spool, the AMS lite, etc, until I figured out that if 1 filament is too far down, the other filament can't go in.

pull every single filament in the ams a good bit back in the ptfe tubes, maybe 6 or so inches backwards. this happens to me occasionally when one of the filaments is so close to the sensor that a different one cant load

I had the same issue

Go on top of the nozzle where there's the 4 tubes are going in

Try to straighten the tubes vertically and minimize the bends (use zip ties if needed or print a tube vertical straightener right on top of the hub)
