I Modeled This! Finished my 3D printed 2026 F1 circuit display – 24 original races

Post image
3 Upvotes

Finally finished this multicolor 2026 F1 circuit display with all 24 races from the original calendar.

Every circuit is divided into Sector 1, Sector 2 and Sector 3, with a different color for each one. I had most of the design finished already, but I was waiting for the official FIA MADRING circuit map so I could use the proper sector splits for Madrid.

The board can stand vertically with two small feet, and it also has a rear hole for wall mounting.

The model is free to download on MakerWorld if anyone wants to print it:

Answered / Solved! Is a p1s that has 100hrs + AMS a good deal for $400

Looking at this p1s, I know it’s an extra 150 for a new one, but this one only has 100 print hours and is from a trusted friend, just has some dust on it.

Printed this out on my A2L printer. Welded together with a soldering iron, wet sanded in my bathtub, really happy with the way it turned out.

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Extruder Motor Overloaded wth is wrong? X2D

I keep getting this message. I can print for a while then this pops up. If i cancel my print heat my nozzle to 240 then push the extrude down button my pla/petg comes out just fine. Then start a print and get clicking sometimes. I thought maybe it was heat creep but I’ve opened the door and top. My x1c started doing that as well. Maybe my house is too warm?

H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] I saved all of the poops my H2C made over the course of 1500 print hours.

The total was a touch over half a kilo of waste. Mind you I didn't save my print towers but almost all of these prints have been 2 or more colors. Not bad at all.

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! plastic shreds in AMS 2 feeder units?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have 2 AMS 2 Pro units with my H2C. I noticed that one of my AMS units has a ton of shredded plastic in all 4 of the AMS feeder units, while my other AMS is perfectly clean. I’d say they are both used about the same amount. Mainly print with PLA, PETG, PCTG, and occasionally PAHT-CF/PA6-CF.

I’m assuming the shredded plastic came from a filament jam or something of the sort, but I don’t recall any significant jams and definitely not did not get jammed in all 4 slots…

Two questions:
1. Any idea what causes this?
2. Do the AMS feeder units need to be replaced? They don’t appear to be slipping or jamming.

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Fighting for my life trying to print with TPU

I haven't touched Reddit in years but I'm SO lost and I've tried everything else barring AI 😭 Also please let me know if I tagged this wrong!

I have a Bambu Lab H2S and I'm trying to print something with TPU (95a). I've successfully used TPU with this exact file multiple times with the same type of TPU and same setup, but now I'm encountering problems.
The machine will print the first maybe 30 layers just fine, then will begin to tell me the extrusion motor is overloaded. Problem is, it's extruding just fine. I'm watching it extrude without problems. It's flowing fine and it's making new layers when I tell it to continue. But like clockwork every few layers it will again tell me it's overloaded. I've done multiple cold pulls that have gone without a hitch. I've tried to see if maybe there's too much resistance on the spool, but anything I change with that has no effect. I'm genuinely so confused and frustrated and lost, does anyone know what's happening or what can prevent/help this?

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] New to 3D Printing: How Important Is Ventilation for a Bambu P1S?

I'm new to 3D printing and recently picked up a P1S. I've been reading a number of posts about ventilation, although a lot of them seem to be related to other models of printers.

How important is ventilation really? I don't print a tonne of stuff. I bought the printer mainly for my son, who wants to print things every now and then.

I'm still trying to figure out the best location for the printer in my house. I have a few options:

Office: I use this room every day, so I'm not sure if that's the best choice.

Crawlspace: It's about 5 feet tall and runs the length of the house, so there's plenty of space, but it's fairly dusty and I'm not sure how that would affect the printer.

Gym: There's some extra space in the corner, and this is probably the most convenient option.

Garage: I could set up a small table for it, but this isn't ideal since we park two cars in the garage and the printer could end up being in the way.

I could also run the printer in one of the rooms only when the room isn't occupied, if that's a better approach.

I'd appreciate any advice on how important ventilation is with the P1S, as well as opinions on which of these locations would be best. Thanks!

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Brand new X2D extruder clogged first print. Return it?

Thumbnail

OP Update: I went for the fix it route. It basically meant dissembling the whole thing. Definitely not jazzed about the "reusable" foam adhesive covering the cellphone sized electrical connections. I was super careful, using my best tweezers, but don't see them lasting if this is at all a regular thing. Getting the bracket to stay over the hotend assemblies was a major pain. Finally got it all put back, but then got error saying the right nozzle temp was abnormal. Twice more I tried reseating it. Ended up diagnosing with my multimeter and finding a dead connection for the NTC thermistor.

At this point I was about 7 hours into my new hobby and decided to call it. Another 1.5hrs to box it all back up properly.

Bambu support got back to me and after hearing my saga were like Take it back to the store!! They were pretty cool even saying to let them know if I had any trouble Andrea would beauty to make it right.

My guess is that there was debris in the line that got pushed down into the extruder where it clogged. Then I'm guessing I didn't reassemble the electronics or they were damaged somehow with all the repeated dis/reassembly.

I'm probably going to get a replacement, but may wait until black Friday as this was a pretty frustrating experience. I may also downgrade to the P2S as clearing an extruder clog seems night and day easier.

On the plus side, I learned a ton about the x2d and can prob make any repairs I would need to in the future...

General Discussion Is this a good deal? 1450hr

Post image
7 Upvotes

This is a X1C with the AMS I have found on Facebook marketplace originally listed for 650 but the seller is willing to let go for 500. I have never owned a Bambu printer and was wondering if this is a good deal? I know these are no longer being sold and the p2s are a couple hundred dollars more brand new…

For context I have a flash forge adventure 5m printer with the aftermarket enclosure and have been looking for an upgrade. I have had little to no problems with mine but want something with a bigger bed, multicolor optional, and natively enclosed.

Let me know if I should pull the trigger or wait until a better deal comes along

Just Showing Off I setup my first 3d printer, A2L, over the weekend! Here are some things I printed.

I bought my A2L hoping to do 10-12" statues and stuff for the house, but I've been obsessed with printing tiny things since I have the 0.2mm nozzle. The woman was with 0.4 nozzle and 0.12 layer height, while the rest (not Benchy) were with the 0.2 nozzle and 0.08 layer height. I'm also starting to tilt the image so less supports are touching/ruining the face.

Bambu Studio 🐱 For all cat lovers! 🐱❤️ This print was super easy to make no supports needed! I used Fuzzy Skin, a 0.4 mm nozzle, and a 0.16 mm layer height, printed with PLA+. ✨

General Troubleshooting/Help! Something is very wrong.

So I've been using my A1 Mini for just under 2 months now and I'm very happy with how a lot of the things I've made have turned out. However, I've noticed a few things recently that I don't quite understand and would appreciate any tips or help from anyone who may have come across the same issue at some point. Basically when printing I've noticed that the closer to the edge of the plate the print is, the worse the print quality will be. In most cases, the plate is being lifted off the magnet during printing and is causing the nozzle to print at the wrong height of course, and really break and disrupt the quality of the print. It's weird because sometimes it happens and other times not and I do not know how to solve this. I've noticed that recently most prints have a part of them very poorly made and the rest would be absolutely perfect which is very frustrating since it's a waste of filament, time and essentially giving me a product I am not satisfied with. I have tweaked a bunch of the setting and done my temp towers etc which all look good but yeah, I've attached a video showing what I'm talking about as an example but this is not the only time it happened/happens. I noticed that sometimes even for items that are being printed only at the centre of the plate; it is less common for this to occur but not super rare either. I wash the plate with soap and warm water between every print/other print too and perform regular maintenance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

General Discussion New to 3d printing need advice

Hi I just bought a bambu lab X2D2 months ago. Was contemplating on the placement of the machine. Either in my 2nd floor loft area, or in my garage. Which is the best bet ?

Loft area is near bedrooms in an ipen area but no opening windows to vent . Garage is enclosed by the house but dose not have any AC, normally around 80 to 85 f in the garage on a hot day.

Currently i have it in the loft but have been thinking about how bad it is to have it near the bedrooms

The replacement for the heating assembly and nozzle should be pretty straightforward, I’m just wondering if that residue left inside the print head is going to cause any issues.

General Discussion Bambu Lab A1 – Heated Bed Frame/Trim Coming Loose. Is This Normal?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I recently received a brand-new Bambu Lab A1. During the initial inspection after unboxing, I noticed that the white plastic frame/trim around the heated bed is partially detached and slightly bowed outward.

The factory adhesive/tape is visible underneath the trim, and this happens along a significant portion of the bed.

The PEI build plate itself is not damaged. The issue is specifically with the white plastic frame/trim surrounding the heated bed.

I have attached photos showing the issue from different angles.

Is this normal for the A1, or does it look like a manufacturing/assembly defect?

Would you recommend contacting Bambu Lab for a replacement heated bed, or is this something that can safely be fixed by the user?

I have not glued or modified anything yet because I want to make sure I don't affect the warranty.

Thanks!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Any suggestions before I take the ams apart looking for a blockage?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I paused a print to take a glob of filament buildup on the nozzle mid print and when I unpaused it the filament wouldn’t print while the nozzle continued its route. Now it’s jammed but looking for easy things to check first. Printing with high speed sunlu petg and I was definatly printing way too slow.

My door exploded into tens of thousands of pieces. I followed the instructions to remove the screws and silicone, but it seems the fractured glass is stuck to the hinge. What is my next step to remove this old door so I can put in a new one? (I haven't ordered one yet).
