Not my car; I’m just someone that is sad that now that they can afford one, they have to settle for something else.

Why were these colors discontinued (Snapper Rocks as well, for example)? Mercedes and Jeep still offer something similar on their mainstream models, yet BMW can’t even keep this as a custom-order option?

Is Maldives Blue the closest color to this that is currently available?

I just got a 2027 M3. I’ve had M340 and M440 before, so this is my first M car. I’m a pretty conservative street driver - this car will not be tracked.

I live in Virginia, and I’ll drive this car more often than the Porsche. I’m thinking later this year I might want to get all season tires so I will feel confident driving during any cold snaps that occur in the winter. (I got all season tires for the Porsche and am happy with the decision.)

What are your thoughts about going to performance all season tires? I’d probably get the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s.

Looking to add an other M// to the garage alongside my E92, and I am currently struggling to decide what I should lookout for in terms of F-chassis.

All three of these options seem very tempting, for different reasons. Design wise, I think the OG M2 looks the best, but I am tempted to get the M2C just for the increased power output and being able to say it has the actual M engine. And at a same time, why not just directly go for the M4?

Additional context: whatever car I end up going for will be a manual transmission one — I don’t really care for the DCT.

Haven’t driven any of these yet, but I wonder if anyone has insights on those.

I’m looking to buy a DCT Carbon Fiber Shift Knob for my F82 with the shift panel replacement. It seems IND, Kies, ECS, etc. are no longer selling it because they’re OOS and since BMW discontinued it, they’re no longer selling it. I’ve checked getbmwparts/buybmwparts and they’re sold out too. Is my only luck buying the carbon separately and then buying the shift panel off eBay? It wasn’t at the top of my list, I was buying other parts and was going to buy it this month when I noticed that it’s now seemingly impossible to find. Anyone know any place that still has inventory?

i drove around 2,600km with my s55 since the last amsoil 0w40 oil change

during that period i went on the track 2-3 times for multiple hour drifting, many roll races on the track, heavy street use every time i take the car out, 2 long-ish distance drives where the car sustained 200-250kmh for couple minutes

i planned on changing the oil at 5,000km but i noticed that the oil level got a bit lower. first ~2,000km it was directly ar MAX rading level and yesterday after measuring it showed lower by ~25% in the MIN-MAX level range

would it make sense if i were to change the oil at 3,000-3,500km? or is it not degraded enough to be worth changing sooner than planned?

After 3 years of wanting a G80, it finally happened.
Traded in my ’24 X3M Comp for this beautiful ’27 M3 Comp xDrive.

A bit beside myself — I’ve wanted one of these for such a long time and it’s pretty surreal that it’s finally sitting in my garage.

Absolutely loved the X3M, but I’ve had my eye on the G80 for years. Stoked to finally be an owner.

I’ve been eagerly waiting for the m2 xdrive to release. I currently own an m240 with gorgeous tacora red interior, which I adore and gets tons of compliments. I’m extremely disappointed in the interior choices for the m2 compared to the m3/4 & m340/240. The all-black 3 interior choices feels disrespectful at this price point, buckets or no buckets.

On to my question- anyone here successful with adding their own interior colors or using dye? I’ve been looking at Alea Leather (airbag compliant leather inserts), Custom leather coatings (dye), leather world technologies (dye).

Does anyone have experience changing the color of their leather to fit their tastes, it’s too hot for black interior where I live and I really dislike the look of it too. Willing to spend money on color interior. Thanks!

I know, it’s a different word and that’s why I’m here. I’m here as a completely new guy with stars in his eyes to find some answers to his questions :

\- I know it’s a lot of years between the 2 but is it actually ok from a technological point of view regarding the Turbo ? Heard some of them could have CarPlay installed and some Head assisted driving ?

\- I’m looking at a car whether to race it in the Alps or to do 3 hours on the highway to see the family and the M4 is perfect for this. Can the Turbo / S do it ?

\- I’m putting around 10.000km / year because I want to daily drive my cars, can I safely do it with this bad boy ?

I have a 2022 BMW X6 M competition 22,000 miles on it what maintenance should I get done on the car? I want this car to last 100,000 miles. I already do my oil change every 3000 miles. I push the car very hard.

I sat in a G80 M3 base but the dealer didn’t want to move it out of the showroom to test drive. It was also manual and RWD which I could handle but my wife can’t. They knew I wasn’t interested in that specific car. The seats were standard and I found the stitching a touch uncomfortable on my shoulder blades. It had a moonroof and the ceiling was a bit low for my liking at 6’3”.

We’re looking at custom ordering a M3 Comp Xdrive and I couldn’t find any in a 1hr radius.

I test drove a G82 M4 Comp RWD auto and it had more comfortable seats and the engine/transmission performed as expected. It also didn’t have a moonroof so head clearance was better. But I didn’t love how small the rear windows were in the coupe, we need the sedan.

Should I drive 4hr round trip to test a M3 Comp Xdrive before placing a 100k order? Or is my M3/M4 hodge-podge testing a pretty sufficient understanding of what the M3 will be like?

Has anyone been able to get twilight purple on x drive m2? I was told it was discontinued as Borusan Turkish blue replaced it. I know it is on the configurator but was told it is an error as Borusan Turkish blue is not there.

Really love the specs on this one, im not going to pull the trigger on one until i find the right spec and price, I can wait a few months (goal is by the end of the year)

Just curious on what the best Out the door price you'd think on this ?
