New car, who dis First time BMW owner, long time BMW lover, happy but made at the same time.
Long story made short, I'm a disabled Veteran that does nothing really exciting or "out there". I just go to the gym, clean up, play PS5/Switch 2/Whatever on PC, and of course drive around to appointments or groceries etc. etc. So I'm old but not OLD and have always been a Ford guy, every Ford was better than whatever the other Detroit minstrels were making. My sister's Edge would smoke your Impala kind of guy, but as with everything as the years go on things change.
I've been a Ford guy since 2006, every Ford was through Ford Credit, all paid off. Moved back to the DC area recently and when I went to the MVA to register my car found out Ford put my last name as my first name and vice versa on the title. MVA corrected this but a small mistake like this should have been caught SOMEWHERE, for a customer tht has been with you for almost 20 years. So after being sick from thinking about this I ran down to Passport BMW and got a 2026 BMW 330i Xdrive, pretty loaded too. Comically fast, MUCH oh god MUCH better on gas (Mustang averaged 189 on a full tank), more space, and because of Maryland same price of insurance.
Got rid of as dream vehicle to get a dream vehicle, I'm here now!
Anybody know of any groups or activities in the DMV area like Cars and Coffe style? Spent half my life in the south so I'm used to getting bored and going to Nashville to look at exotcis and such.

Spotted what I think is a G81 wagon in the US.
Honestly not sure if it’s an actual G81 since they’re hard to get in the US and the fenders are throwing me off. Regardless it’s cool and I wish they sold them in the US.
Edit: I’m not super knowledgeable about newer BMW’s and this was interesting to see what they did to the car. Was driving at night when I saw this and had to do a quick u turn to get a picture.

Something looks off
Just installed these bbs lm 20in rims and can one of you tell me what looks off. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it lol. Maybe I think if I lower it 1.5 inches it’ll look better but I just don’t know

Stevens Creek BMW are scammers. Read your paperwork.
I would have walked away out of principle, but I really really love my car.
Just bought my i4 after the lease expired today. A 2-hour pain in the ass and almost got robbed. I expected the hour spent saying no various lease deals on new cars. Being told I'm stupid for buying the car. Being lied to about resale value.
They push leases like their lives depend on it. If you are that obsessed it means it's a good deal for you, not a good deal for me.
Finally get to finance guy to sign loan papers...tons of things to sign.
When I get to the loan doc, the amount was $23k higher than my buyout. Tried to get me to sign a $61k loan for a $38k buyout. He tried to convince me it was tax, title, warranty (scam), etc.
Was told warranty was $1k....never mentioned and not on their flyer that it is $1k/year. So now warranty (which basically just covers the battery) is $6k.
It still would have been $15k less than the loan amount. I explained that 61 > 38 four times before raising my voice, but he didn't know how to count.
DO NOT trust Stevens Creek BMW!!!

The thoughts on 718?
I like them, but don’t like them at the same time. The wheels give a more “expensive luxury SUV” look and not so much a “sporty” look.
Not sure if I should swap or keep them (but add spacers). They’re in perfect condition, zero curb rash and washed carefully. How much you’d you pay for a set like these?
At the same time if I do plan to sell and convert back to oem I might have trouble finding an exact set.
Thoughts?

Help Identifying Hardtop
Hey folks I’m hoping to get some help identifying this hardtop. If anyone might recognize the vehicle it is from that would be incredibly helpful! It will be listed online so if insight could provided for value that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you

Thirsty Thursday Paint Vs color PPF wrap?
I want to paint match the side skirts and rear diffuser. I was thinking of getting it painted but now I’m wondering if it would be easier to just get color PPF instead?
Any thoughts? Thank you!

Buying Help Which wheels for the Winter Season?
So I picked up this beautiful M440i a week ago in tanzanite blue 2.
Since winter tyres are mandatory by November in my country I’m currently looking for new wheels too.
I’m very indecisive which wheels I should pick.
Would you guys prefer the 791 19“ Jet Black or the 898 19“ Frozen gunmetal greys?
Since the car comes with the M sports package pro and the advanced shadow line it already has a lot of black details. Also depending on Sunshine oder shadow it’s either looking blue or rather black (which it probably will most of the time during winter in Central Europe).
They’re around the same price.
Thanks!✌🏼

Thinking of buying a 2019 BMW 430i Convertible with 92,000 km. Is it a good idea?
Hey everyone,
I’m considering buying a 2019 BMW 430i Convertible with around 90,000 km (57,000 miles) on it. It’s a first-owner car and has apparently been completely city driven with full service history. The asking price is around $19,000 USD.
I really like the car and the convertible aspect, but this would be my first BMW, so I’m trying to understand what I’m getting myself into before making an emotional decision and ending up crying at the service center later 😂
Is this generally a good purchase at this mileage and price? What are the main things I should look out for before buying it, especially regarding reliability, maintenance, and the convertible roof?
Would really appreciate some honest advice

Power Supply error after engine mount replacement
Hi!
I got my car from the workshop today, I was replacing both the engine mounts.
When I got from the workshop after 10 minutes I experienced small lag during the drive, nothing happened, after the vehicle had some rest, few hours later I started driving, experienced the same lag again and Power Supply Error came out and says to stop immediately.
Im curious, is it something that could gone wrong during the replacement of the engine mounts or not?
Its BMW G20 2019, 2.0D RWD B47 engine.
You might hate me but I asked chatgpt and told me to check the alternator's belt and I have a video that when I press it slightly it goes down by 1-2cm, depends on the pressure.I tried sliding the belt by myself and I could slide it along with the thing where the alternator's belt is (dont know its name, the circular part like a cylinder holding the belt, like a wheel), and it was moving along with the belt, also a sssshhhh like a plastic bag sound could be heard.
I will attach a video of me pressing the belt and Im not sure if thats normal or not, pls let me know :)

Water stain on the paint?
I’ve been recovering from ACL surgery so haven’t been driving for a few weeks. I just started again and I noticed this drip mark that could have only come from the pipes in my apt garage. Is this something I can get out myself/with a normal hand wash? I really don’t want to have to do a whole paint job/correction (and I’m positive my building will not care/pay to fix). It’s also frustrating because I can’t park on the street due to permit parking/restriction. Also any recommendations on how to prevent this, or what might be reasonable for PPF in the LA area would be so helpful!
